Product Description

Jason has a problem. He doesn"t remember anything before waking up on a school bus holding hands with a girl. Apparently she's his girlfriend Piper, his best friend is a kid named Leo, and they"re all students in the Wilderness School, a boarding school for bad kids. What he did to end up here, Jason has no idea-except that everything seems very wrong. Piper has a secret. Her father has been missing for three days, and her vivid nightmares reveal that he's in terrible danger. Now her boyfriend doesn"t recognize her, and when a freak storm and strange creatures attack during a school field trip, she, Jason, and Leo are whisked away to someplace called Camp Half-Blood. What is going on Leo has a way with tools. His new cabin at Camp Half-Blood is filled with them. Seriously, the place beats Wilderness School hands down, with its weapons training, monsters, and fine-looking girls. What's troubling is the curse everyone keeps talking about, and that a camper's gone missing. Weirdest of all, his bunkmates insist they are all-including Leo-related to a god. Rick Riordan, the best-selling author of the Percy Jackson series, pumps up the action and suspense inThe Lost Hero, the first book in The Heroes of Olympus series. Fans of demi-gods, prophesies, and quests will be left breathless-and panting for Book Two. see more...

Rick Riordan is honestly so good at creating book plots. This series is so intriguing and interesting. It brings new characters to the existing story from the Percy Jackson series and even adds a new set of myths! I definitely recommend it to anyone who's read the PJ series already!

An excellent start to an amazing series. Rick Riordan is an incredible author with a talent for pulling the reader into a story and keeping them hooked until the very end. This series is a great way to extend the Percy Jackson books and include older readers as well

Loved this book! Although it's new heroes it really is a continuation of the Percy Jackson series, just using the Roman names for the gods. I think the author is very creative and his books are always well written. This is a great read for middle school age and up!

This book was the first book into a knew chapter of the Percy Jackson series and I couldn't love it more. It gives you knew characters and adventures but it keeps with what we fell in love with first.

Love this book. If you didn't read the Percy Jackson books don't worry you don't have to read them to understand the book, because I didn't. This book is such an adventure. There's a lot of action as well as drama in this book. If you love those two things you will love his mythological adventure about a few teenagers trying to bring two completely yet similar camps together.

This book is fantastic. It's a spin off the Percy Jackson series and is debatably almost just as good. I would recommend reading the Percy Jackson series first though to understand this series a bit better.

This is the first book in the Heroes of Olympus series and it does an amazing job of setting up the scene in a way that is familiar, yet gives us new characters to love.
