My favorite princess since I was a little girl. My daughter loves her too. Such a classic. Great for fans of Ariel. The book is based off the movie.

Ariel might be my favorite Disney princess but that doesn't mean I love her any less. Ariel is actually the favorite Disney princess of one of my stepsisters and she practically adores Ariel. I know that ALL the Disney princesses have such extraordinary and stupendous and melodious voices that are embedded in my mind for the rest of my days but if I had to choose which princess had by the far the best voice than it would probably be Ariel, because like all the other princesses Disney has ever created in films or in tv shows Ariel always sings with the voice of an angel. If you're trying to decide which classic Disney princess film to watch just for the fun of it or for some good old fashion nostalgia than I believe that The Little Mermaid is just the classic for you or if you're looking for a good Disney princess film to begin a Disney princess marathon than The Little Mermaid is always an excellent film to start with, Ariel will always continue to amaze and impress me with her bravery, love, angelic voice, determination, skills, pure heart and strength and I will continue to sing along to just about all the songs that this film offers wonderfully from Part of Your World to Under the Sea to Kiss the Girl to even Unfortunate Souls no matter who sings which one, and I think that both Part of Your World and Under the Sea are my 2 favorite songs in this beautiful masterpiece. Watch this timeless masterpiece and relive the story about how a young teenaged mermaid risked absolutely everything to be with the love of her life and have a new life in the surface world even if it meant giving up her fabulous voice to an evil sea witch in exchange for a dandy pair of human legs, and relive how Ariel's beloved Prince Eric risked absolutely everything to help his beloved princess defeat the evil sea witch Ursula and save King Triton's entire kingdom and the entire ocean from total and complete destruction. The Little Mermaid will astound, impress, amaze and enchant you with its unforgettable songs, wonderful characters, timeless style and unbelievable urge it'll give you to keep on singing and singing and singing. But if a flimsy book I take to party’s with me so I don’t think it’ll last but gorgeous art and the kids love it. Story isn’t too long or complicated.
