Product Description

In this fourth installment of the best-selling Heroes Olympus series, the Greek and Roman demigods from the Prophesy of Seven must work together to seal the Doors of Death-and help Percy and Annabeth escape the Underworld in the process. At the conclusion of The Mark of Athena, Annabeth and Percy tumble into a pit leading straight to the Underworld. The other five demigods have to put aside their grief and follow Percy's instructions to find the mortal side of the Doors of Death. If they can fight their way through the Gaea's forces, and Percy and Annabeth can survive the House of Hades, then the Seven will be able to seal the Doors from both sides and prevent the giants from raising Gaea. But, Leo wonders, if the Doors are sealed, how will Percy and Annabeth be able to escape? They have no choice. If the demigods don't succeed, Gaea's armies will never die. They have no time. In about a month, the Romans will march on Camp Half-Blood. The stakes are higher than ever in this adventure that dives into the depths of Tartarus. Love this series!! This is the "dark" book of the series (think the Empire Strikes Back in the original Star Wars series). This series is also for the "older reader" (think 13+ where as Percy Jackson is closer to 9+) Also; unlike other novels in this series this time you really needed to have read the demigod files to really understand the importance with some of the character exchanges. I don't want to be a spoiler; but this part of the backstory is more important in this novel than others.

This book is part of a spin off series off Percy Jackson series. It's very well written and adventurous. It's test to take your mind to another place. It's full of Greek and roman myth as well making it very interesting.

Very good, but slightly dissapointing compared to the other ones. Note that Nico admits he is gay and has a crush on Percy, and a few kisses between Percy and Annabeth. I'm surprised CSM didn't mention Nico's homosexuality.

MY LIFE YES if you haven't read Percy Jackson please go read it. In my opinion Percy Jackson is almost the same as Harry Potter. AND I AM DYING FOR THE MOVIE FOR THE TITANS CURSE TO COME OUT

Not my favorite, but still good. The group was separated, so they couldn't feed off of one another, so it took a bit of a turn downward. I know it is a fictional series, but my willing suspension of disbelief was stretched a little thin at points. I won't say why to avoid spoilers. It was still a great book and important in the series and o recommend everyone read it.
