It blends well over the skin. Doesn’t look cakey. It also has surprisingly good footage. I used a dense foundation brush and didn’t have any streaks. I get coverage and it looks like skin. Very impressed with this foundation. And I love that there isn’t a heavy scent.
I had really high hopes for this foundation but alas, I was very disappointed. This foundation gives light to medium coverage at best (with two layers) and doesn't do much to cover discoloration any acne scars. While it doesn't emphasize texture, it doesn't do anything to hide then either. I really dislike the bottle. There doesn't seem to be a lock on it so I wouldn't travel with it. It also has a weird pump that makes it messy whenever I squirt out the foundation. It's also very not mask friendly. The foundation was all over the mask when I removed it and you can obviously see where it rubbed off on my face. Needless to say, it didn't look good. At $58 a bottle, I expected more from it. It does sort of give a nice glow, like it claims. It's a shame it's not a better foundation because it matches my skin tone exactly. I bought this foundation during the last holiday season.I feel like it's not talked about. I love the way it makes my skin look, the coverage is more on the natural side which is perfect for everyday, the finish is more satan/dewy which is great because i find mattes to be super drying. A great feature is that the package is an air pump. Honestly you can apply it however you like beauty blender/brush/or even hands, to me it depends on how my skin feels on that day but i mostly gravitate towards the sponge. I gave it 4 starts though because unfortunately it tends to settle around dry patches especially around the nose.
An awesome trick from my Sister is do not power your face, or at least don't over powder it, i found following this trick with this foundation for example helped decrease creasing and settling into fine lines.
Finally, I like that it doesn't oxidize like other foundations, which is very important because honestly if a foundation drastically changes color after application, it ruins the whole look.
If you have been eyeing it, i say give a go and try it out. If you tried it, share your thoughts in the comments!
Gave me a dewy finish and wasn’t sticky. Lasted me the whole day and didn’t look seperated or too oily. I would like to see a matte foundation some day. This brand’s packaging is stunning. I definately recommend this product to anyone looking for a light weight, dewy foundation. I have oily skin and usually don’t even look towards dewy finishes, but i really liked this one. Got this as a sample from Sephora and I was honestly surprised how nice this is. Although it goes on sheer, it does dry down more matte and provides decent coverage. It wears well all day and does even better with a good setting spray. My one con is that it clings to my dry patches after an eight hour day at work. Still very pretty and glowy. Might buy the full size product but I would love to find a dupe for less money. [product:the-etherealist-skin-illuminating-foundation]
This foundation actually provides great coverage. It’s very liquidy and looks like it will go on sheer, but it doesn’t. I would say it’s medium coverage but it’s also light weight. However, it didn’t work well with my normal/combo skin. My chin and forehead became slightly oily, and between my eyebrows became dry and patchy. It also transferred a little. If it wasn’t for those issues, I would say it was perfect. I loved how light weight it felt. And my color match was perfect with no oxidizing. I wish this worked out.
Absolutely adore this product and so glad i decided to try it! Dewey texture and you can feel and see improvement in your skin as you use it. Never looks dry and blends to perfection!
Overall this is a very nice foundation if you’re looking for a satin finish. It is not Matt and it’s not Chloe, which is exactly what I was looking for. It has a wonderful texture and medium coverage. My only issue is finding the right match for my skin, it is a little bit yellow for me but it still works.
Perfect for the days when my skin is dull and dehydrated, this brightening and perfecting formula increases radiance and imparts a lit-from-within glow with the added bonus of a skin-loving moisture boost.
Before buying this product, I went through so many blogs, vlogs, reviews, etc. trying to find the perfect "dewy" foundation (I like a luminous finish and not matte).
As it is a high-end brand, the price is a little bit higher than most foundations but even though, I am quite happy with my purchase ☺️ To get the finish that I wanted, of course, I have to use a "glowy" serum, powder, setting spray etc. but the foundation is equally important.
P.S: I would advise you to get in touch with one of their consultants before you buy any shade so that it matches perfectly❤️
