I am a hair stylist and I work at a blowout bar for years I’ve been using the GHD air blow dryer for a while and swore by it. When the Dyson came out I would always talk so negative about it saying it’s too much money and all your paying for the name brand. That all changed when I finally got my hands on one and completely changed my opinion of it. This is legit the best blow dryer I’ve ever used it’s super light weight, extremely quite and really does cut blow dry time down leaving the hair with so much shine and looking as healthy as ever when done. As a stylist and blow drying hair for hours on end leaves your arms and shoulders aching but this blow dryer helped so much with how light weight it is. Once you use a Dyson you will look at other blow dryers like an antique and will never want to go back guaranteed! It is expensive but it is LEGIT worth every penny. If you are a hair stylist I highly recommend buying this and even if your not this thing works wonders on yourself you don’t even need to use any additional hot tools on your hair when your done blow drying with it!

I was a little skeptical that one hair dryer could make a big difference over any other, but this product has proved me wrong. I was using a Babyliss when I got this, and I am (no pun intended) blown away. It takes a little getting used to because it does NOT get as hot as the other dryers. It has sensors that change the heat to optimize it for your level of wetness and it turns out that Dyson doesn't think we need all the heat that we think we need - and they're right! When I use this dryer with NO attachments, it takes the same dry time (maybe a little less) as other dryers but with less heat, and either the less heat or something about how it blows makes me look like I got a professional blowout after a cut. My hair lays much more smoothy and has so much more movement and less weight. I'll put a pic to to show what I mean. Is it worth $400? Maybe. I do think it will last forever and that it makes a daily difference for me, since I use it daily. If you you have a different hair type or you don't often dry, it might not be worth the investment for you. THAT said, it is nice not to be all sweaty after I dry my hair!

I was excited to finally try this hair dryer, as Dyson has been a staple in our household for such a long time. They are an innovative brand that works and lasts.

I DO think this hair dryer is way over priced, but nonetheless, well-made. It's a high quality item. There are interchangeable diffusers/parts for different ways to dry. Customization is this hair dryer's best quality as you can change the temperature from multiple settings other than just hot and cold. There are different levels of hot and different levels of cold. The same goes for the amount of power you prefer.

I like the compact style as well, which is perfect for traveling. It's also kind of heavier than most hair dryers which I count as a plus because it sits and stays on my bathroom counter top better than others that are lighter and end up falling off when I have my counter top covered with toothbrushes, makeup, lotions, etc.

Great product, but I would give it 4 out 5 stars due to price. Any hair dryer works, some better than others, but they most all get the job done, so I wouldn't go out of my way to continue buying this one.

“Wow” was all I could say after my first use of this hair dryer! I have really long frizzy hair. If it’s not in a messy bun on my head it’s cuz I just spent over an hour drying and straightening my hair. With the Dyson supersonic my hair routine is cut in half. This dryer dries and Semi straightens my hair in half the Time it normally takes to do my hair. 20-30 minutes of drying with the attachments and I’m good to go. Wouldn’t say my hair is super straight but it’s so much smoother and straighter then using a regular blow dryer and doing it this way leaves less damage on my hair then when using both dryer and straightener separately. It’s super light to hold and It comes with 3 separate magnetic attachments for different styles. Love that they are magnetic. Quickly pop them on and they stay on. Don’t have to worry about them randomly falling off while drying your hair. I really have nothing bad to say about his product. I absolutely love it! I mean, I didn’t love spending the amount of money I did to get it, but I definitely don’t regret it! This is something that is going to last and be worth the that cost I paid.

Just got this as a birthday gift last week from my husband. It does work really well. It has a heat sensor that regulates the temperature so that you don't burn your hair. I have fine hair and am currently 8 months pregnant so too much heat not only dries my hair but makes me feel like I may pass out! It also has a continuous cool cycle which is super useful. The attachments are magnetic which is a cool feature. I use the finishing attachment throughout the whole dry process and it seems to keep the airflow directed and concentrated where I want it to go. Best part is the sound is unlike other dryers and less obnoxious than normal dryers. For me, the dry time has been decreased as well, I feel like it took about 5-10 minutes off the whole routine. I personally would not pay $400 for this but as it was a gift I am keeping it and have to say each time I use it I like it more and more.

This blow-dryer is worth the price tag! I have very curly hair and always had to let my hair air dry because other blow-dryers turned my hair into a frizzy mess. Likewise, using diffusers with other blow-dryers was slow and often cumbersome as most blow-dyers are heavy and attachments tend to fall off. The Dyson is great- It’s light-weight, so my arm doesn’t get tired or cramp up while I’m blow-drying. Likewise, the attachments are magnetic, so I can use the diffuser without worrying about an attachment falling off while I’m drying my hair. Most importantly, the Dyson is high-powered, which allows me to dry my hair quickly even when I’m using the diffuser and the lowest setting. Thanks to the Dyson Super Sonic, I can now blow-dry my hair quickly and without frizz!

Straightening- Dyson is also great because it makes straightening my hair so much easier. The high power allows me to do a blow-out in about half the time as my old blow-dryer. Likewise, my arm doesn’t get tired or cramped while I’m straightening since the Dyson is so light weight.

Another perk about the Dyson hair dryer is that it’s fairly compact, which makes it easy to travel with. Also, it comes with a decent warranty.

For the frugal consumer, let me share: I rarely splurge on expensive items for myself. I always think, I could spend $400 on a hairdryer, or a round trip vacation? This is the most expensive item I have purchased for myself other than my laptop. But when I consider my lifestyle, I know and will always defend why I did. I have extremely thick hair and blow dry every day, and have been for nearly 10 years. Living in a major city, haircuts, color and styles are very expensive and my traditional hair dryer has been frying my ends for years. This hair dryer dries my hair efficiently, without extreme heat, in 10 minutes instead of the nearly half hour process of my old one. One unexpected feature I LOVE is the fact it doesn't have a huge nozzle on the end and I can hold it closer to my head with more control. I purchased this with a coupon for $100 off and I think if you get the chance, definitely consider the splurge of at least $300 if you are spending lots of time every day on your hair like me! It saves so much hassle and time and to have that every single day, makes all the difference. The Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer

I recieved the red dryer set from QVC as a birthday gift, and I absolutely love it! My hair usually took over an hour to dry because it's really long and thick. Now when I use this with my Aquis towel it takes me roughly 20 minutes to dry and stlye. My set came with a storage case which is really nice to protect my dryer and store it easily.

After using this dryer I noticed my hair had volume and didnt get as frizzy as it would normally. This dryer is definately a step up because my older one would burn my hair off, and the rest just took too long to dry my hair.
I would definately reccomend!

The reason I’m giving this dryer only 3 stars is because the first one I bought was broken. It literally worked for only 1 min and stopped working and for the price you would think that wouldn’t happen. Customer service was great about it but still a hassle. Now on to the product itself, yes it’s amazing and works fantastic. The price I feel is too high because other cheaper brands are just as good. I feel if you have the money to spend on it then yes it’s a good investment but otherwise I wouldn’t spend the money. It does dry my hair super fast and leaves it healthy.

It might be odd that the first Dyson product I ever bought is this hair dryer, and it's the first hair dryer I bought too. I'm a guy in my 30s and have never cared too much about my looks. I used to keep my hair extremely short and when long, I just slap on some gel, comb it tightly, and call it a day. But, I have been interested in styling my hair lately. I dyed it blue and I want it to stand out. I am learning to see the utility of a hair dryer that can add more volume. When I saw this hair dryer, I knew I wanted it more than the Dyson fans or vacuum cleaners. Unlike other hair dryers, the default (without any nozzle) is a great small size that doesn't require you to extend your arm far away from you. This product offers you three different nozzles, adding altogether four different ways to dry your hair. I see it this way, it's like having four different quality hair dryers in one. I've been using it nearly every day just to give my hair a wind-blown lift in the morning.

Where can one purchase this hairdryer? I've seen several mentions and it looks like it would work great on my hair. I know it just launched but I'd love to know where I can purchase it and when it's available in the US.
