Anfangs erschlägt mich Ted Lapidus for Men fast mit seiner Wucht. Ein kraftvolles, fast schon "nukleares" Bouquet aus Bergamotte, Lavendel und Gewürzen eröffnet den Duft. Doch nach dieser ersten Explosion entfaltet sich ein olfaktorisches Schauspiel voller Facetten: Süße Honig- und blumige Noten treffen auf cremigen Bienenwachs und harzigen Weihrauch. Mit der Zeit lerne ich diesen Duft mehr und mehr zu schätzen. Er ist komplex, vielschichtig und zeigt sich je nach Wetter und Tageszeit von einer neuen Seite. An sonnigen Tagen unterstreicht er die Wärme und Leichtigkeit des Lebens, während er an trüben Tagen eine wohlige Wärme und Geborgenheit spendet. Zunächst kaufte ich mir nur eine kleine Abfüllung, um den Duft zu testen. Doch je öfter ich ihn trug, desto mehr faszinierte er mich. Seine Einzigartigkeit und Wandelbarkeit begeisterten mich so sehr, dass ich mir nun eine volle 100ml-Flasche zugelegt habe. Ted Lapidus for Men ist für mich kein Alltagsduft. Er ist etwas Besonderes, das ich zu besonderen Anlässen oder an Tagen trage, an denen ich mich etwas Außergewöhnliches wünsche.

I got this fragrance as a gift. It has a very strong scent and it very masculine and manly. It smells very old money and almost old. It has scents of tobacco and leather.

Wow I picked this up for the nostalgia of being piece of my childhood and around the time I was born. Ted Lapidus Pour Homme was first introduced around 1987. Since then these have been reformulated, but seem not to be altered if that makes since. What can I say about this fragrance? Other than it has quite a few notes that make this classic a piece of my history. Tops notes like Lavender, Bergamot, Basil, Thyme, and Petit Grain. Heart notes of Artemisia, Juniper Berries, and Coriander. Base notes of Incense, Patchouli, Oakmoss, and Amber. See why I said beast mode? It has a little bit of everything in the note break down. It's best suited in the fall/winter months for where it really shines. I sprayed some on a strip and it lasted well above 12+ hours and then some. I think it's still a great buy today. If you like long lasting and sweet fragrances, give this one a go, you won't be sorry that you did.
