Teavana is a wonderful store to purchase teas from. They have a huge selection and every scent and flavour you can think of!! Even a non tea drinker can find something that they would love here. My all time favourite is the special holiday edition tea called "white chocolate peppermint". So far no other tea has compared to this one. I will definitely repurchase once it is out in stores again this winter.
I was disappointed by the lack of organic and more natural teas here. Their teas are a bit more expensive compared to DavidsTea, and their costumer service isn't always the most welcoming. Their sample teas are also heavily sweetened, so it's hard to tell how the tea actually tastes if you are interested in buying some and don't use sugar.
I love tea, and i love trying new tea blends. however, i do not appreciate the price gouging on teas, and especially herbal teas (when it's $18.99 for 2 ounces, yikes!), and there are hidden unhealthy things to Teavana teas. For example, they do not list all of their ingredients, so they may use terms such as 'natural flavorings' yet don't tell you what that is, or add sugar to your tea without you knowing it, so that it tastes sweeter. Many of Teavana teas are sweet teas, so they already have sugar additives to them, yet they don't tell you that. So if you are trying to reduce your sugar intake, don't drink these teas as you'll be consuming a ton of calories. i also do not appreciate Starbucks now having their hand in Teavana's pocket - as prices will just soar again...and i still don't understand how they promote healthy products but then take advantage of you when you go to pay for their products and they add unhealthy ingredients to the mix (like soy and such...)
I honestly am not a fan of Teavana I much prefer Davids Tea as I like the atmosphere in davids tea and how friendly the employees are and how colourful and fun they label their teas. I find teavana over priced and the staff I've dealt with has never seen very impressed to be there
Love love love this store I really like the different flavours of drinks it has a but the cold teas are my favourite pro the less sugary drinks there are the better a little sweet is ok not too much tho and the con is the price very pricey for. Drink
Teavana makes my all-time favourite teas, but they can be on the pricier side. Worth it, in my honest opinion. You can really tell by the quality of the ingrediants.
Most high quality loose leaf tea is similar in price at the retail level, but I still find it expensive and indulgent. That said, if you really love tea, you won't go wrong at Teavana. The creativity in the blends can't be beat and the staff really knows how to help you find something you'll love. Most stores have multiple items you can sample at any time and since you can order by the cup or a custom latte, you can try the teas and then decide if you'd like to buy! :) I love buying their fruity herbal teas for cold-brewing.
Teavana is my favorite tea store. The tea is definitely delicious. Go into the store and they have multiple samples of different teas. The staff have a great knowledge of the product. My favorite are jade citrus mint (in the winter), wild orange youthberry (in the summer), blueberry konapop, Oprah chai tea, white chocolate Peppermint. I just love tea. Love that I can use my registered Starbucks and earn stars.
Very sales driven. I feel like every time I step foot in there just for some loose leaf teas, there's always an associate trying to sell me their cast iron pots. They're teas are on the pricier side - you can go to other local tea stores and get similar teas for a cheaper price. Most retailers have jumped on the 'unique' tea bandwagon, so I don't understand why they haven't dropped their prices.
Q & A
Are the teas here worth the price? It seems crazy to me to spend so much on tea.
