The phone is very good as it has a large amount of storage and runs very smoothly. Additionally, the nxtpaper screen is non-reflective which is great when used outside. It can run larger games (e.g Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, Zenless Zone Zero) on high graphics without much lag. The price is very reasonable for the phone as it is cheap compared to others from bigger brands that have the same or similar performance. Overall, the phone is really good value and works very well.

As an heavy iPhone user, it was nice to get to use an android phone as I’ve always slated them to be of very poor quality.
For this review I wanted to see how it stacks up to the iPhone 16 pro so here are my findings
The TCL 50 Pro is a gorgeous device, the screen in this is very bright and the overall operation of this phone is very nice. The refresh rate is indeed hitting 120hz and the operation of the phone is generally very stable.
The camera quality although better, I. It iced the saturation of photos were must h more intensive and not as natural as my other phone and although this isn’t a deal breaker, some people,e may be put off.
The phone is light and you can feel quality is there and I will gladly use this alongside my current iPhone (I even have a 2nd sim just for this) however I was sent a loan unit so I hope I still get to keep this as the phone is a lovely piece of tech.
For those on a budget you cannot go wrong with this phone especially if you’re an android user, but for those Apple users stuck in their old ways you may want to stay on iOS.

The TCL 50 Pro NXTPAPER 5G 512GB is an awesome bit of technology for the price point. The phone has a slim and sleek design with a lovely marble casing. The screen is fascinating. It has what appears to be a matte finish. I believe this is all part of the technology that allows it to be kinder to the eye and also for the side switch, that allows you to view the screen in different colour modes, including black and white. I think this is such a fantastic piece of technology and I certainly feel it is so much easier on the eyes. I love reading the news in black and white as it makes it so much easier to read. There is also no light reflection off the screen, due to the non gloss finish, which further enhances the visual experience. The volume on the phone is great with warnings of having it too loud, which is a little lost on me as I am hard of hearing, but a good feature for hearing people, trying to protect their hearing. The compatibility with Google is perfect and I am an avid Google user. The phone is easy to navigate and set up, with perfect android to android copying. The quality of video is of a very high standard. My cons on the phone are very few however there are some. The camera is not as good as I hoped it would be. Despite the pixels, I don't like how the pictures come out. Maybe I need to play with the setting more. The biggest negative for me is the side fingerprint access. This falls short for me and often doesn't recognise my touch. Therefore, it makes it awkward when using Google pay in the shops. I would rather it be an on screen fingerprint recognition. Lastly, the battery isn't as good as I had hoped. A single charge lasts all day but no more than this if there is moderate use. If I were to watch videos on it, I can imagine it wouldn't last the day. Overall a very impressive phone and I will continue to use it as I do enjoy most of the features and the phone as a whole package and it has lots of space to save my downloads.
