- "This product is so pigmented. I love the bold red color it reminds me of a Christmas tree ornament. It is very metallic without looking glittery and packs a punch of intense color to any look." in 28 reviews
- "After seeing the swatches of these on Instagram, I knew I needed to have one of these. I'm a big fan of cream products that I can apply with my fingers since I'm very crunched for time in the mornings, and this stuff is SUPER pigmented and applies like a dream. The color "Martini" is an ever-so-slightly olive toned gold that is very flattering." in 16 reviews
The shadow is creamy and smooth. It applies well with both your finge rs and a brush. Obviously wetting the brush will give it a higher shine. Those were the positives. Now for the real talk. The color is nothing special. Even after finessing the shade a bit with my finger to bring the foil out more, it left me feeling like it just missed the mark of what it could have been. It could have been this beautiful high shine rose gold that was the perfect pop, but it just wasn't. ColourPop shadows perform better than this one at a fraction of the cost. Huge disappointment.
The texture of this shadow is just like Frose, but the difference is night and day. Using your finger works the best, and you've got to rub it a bit more than other shadows. However, once you've finessed it, the color payoff is incredible. I fell in love with this rich cranberry color, and it is the perfect shade for autumn, the holidays, or for adding dimension to the eyeshadow look. This is one to snag now because I have a feeling it'll be in high demand come October.
The color payoff is MAGNIFICENT and they're easy to blend out with the fingers, which is my favorite way to apply cream shadows. It's a quick way to achieve A Lewk with minimal muss and fuss that looks like it took a lot more effort than it did. They're about 22 a piece at Ulta so take it for what it's worth but I do think they're worth the splurge.
