The Tarte Brazilliance PLUS+ Self Tanner is one I have purchased more than once. I like the immediate color payoff and instant glow I get when it is applied. However, the product itself is sticky and very thick. It does not go on evenly unless it is applied with a mitt. Fortunately, it has a dark color guide that allows you to see where it is applied. The downside to this beautiful bronzing color guide is the fact it easily wears off on clothing, car seats, and runs if any rain or sweat touches it. The color guide can be rinsed off after eight hours once the tan has set. This product initially leaves a very nice tan color that isn’t orange on naturally fair or light skin tones. However, it does not give the intense or long lasting color as you would expect based on the depth of the color guide. There is also an unpleasant “tanner” smell that lingers on your skin even after rinsing off the bronzing color guide. The retail price for this product is higher than others on the market that work better. It is available on the Tarte website in the $20 range. I’ve only purchased this on sale as other products provide better color payoff and a longer lasting results at a lower price point. This isn’t a product I enthusiastically recommend or plan to purchase again.
