They get the job done but I'm not impressed for the price. These are for cleaning small spills and in my opinion, if something has spilled and dried....the amount of "elbow grease" needed to remove it doesn't make this a quick fix anymore. I have a toddler and don't always immediately catch every crumb drop or little juice spill. It I find it an hour or so later and it's already dried, it's better off for me to pull out the tried and true mop. I'm exerting the same force either way.
Okay one thing you need to know about me is a have a German "shedding" shepard. I would die if I had to live without my wet and dry mop. The dry pads are the only product or have found that actually works on the fur. It is seriously like magic. I don't know how it works but the fur just sticks to it and gets every single hair! I am obsessed with this product. There are not enough words for how amazing this product is. Changed my dog mom life!
When I had my hardwood floors installed, the installer recommended we get a Swiffer to get up the dog hair. It works well for smaller jobs, but to be honest a good small canister vacuum with a brush attachment works much better. The Swiffer doesn't seem to pick up the fur from a large golden retriever. After I finish I always seem to see more. It's also less expensive to use since the bags hold much more than each of the pads.
I pretty much only use a swiffer (I think the best part about them is their convenience) but I've always only thought they were ok. I feel like the pads get dirty very quickly and don't last long enough. They are fairly pricy. I also feel like if you have a tough stain on the ground, you have to scrub pretty hard to get it off. Overall, I think they work ok. I'm just on the lazy side, which is why I continue using them.
I have laminate wood floors throughout my apartment, a cat, and a husband with a very full, thick head of hair: I would be LOST without my swiffer pads. I barely even use the mop anymore, just use these pads to dust, and hit dusty corners of the apartment. I love that I don't need a liquid cleanser to grab dust and hair off the floor! And it cuts down the amount of time I have to spend vacuuming!
I have been using Swiffer for years, and love the easy concept of it, but have mostly stopped using the dry pads altogether. They are easy to use and inexpensive, but don't to a terribly good job of picking up dirt. I also feel like they cause unnecessary waste. I'd rather vacuum, to really get the dirt up, but they are great for quick messes and for keeping everything tidy between big cleans.
What can I say, these are the best for keeping my wood and tiled house clean. They really do cut down on the dust and allergens in my home significantly. I think they are good value and are all around good products. Although there is also a handheld duster by Swiffer, I honestly prefer wiping down the surfaces in my home with these instead. They trap everything!
We have hardwood floors and the swiffer dry pads have been a life safer! I don't have to use a broom as the swiffer picks everything up. I have may to use a dust pan to pick up some stuff, but I do not mind as I know that my whole house is clean. Also, I highly recommend the wet wipes. I use the dry ones first and then go over it wit the wet ones when needed.
This is a good price for the count of products because I don't use Swiffer all too much. It's unscented which is nice because it just smells clean at the end of cleaning. Swiffer overall is pretty effective, not amazing in my opinion because sometimes I still have to wipe the floor manually, but the wipes do the job quick and sometimes that's all I need!
I don't have pets luckily, however you could say I shed like a cat. I have waist-length hair and I leave a trail behind me everywhere. It's gross. And I can't vacuum all day. These dry pads really clean up well, like a magnet picking up hair and dust. I don't know what kind of magic is infused in these lol but they do the trick at an affordable price.
