As a healthcare professional, I should know better than to haul out a ladder to clean my ceiling fans. Falls are a major cause of unintended injuries (even death) and I have seen my fair share of broken hips and necks. I finally decided enough of the wobbly ladder and I bought a 360 Swiffer Duster. Even though I border on petite height, I was still able to use this duster to reach my ceiling fan. And the tops of shelves. And the tops of curtain rods, And the light fixtures. Even the chains for the light fixtures! It was so easy, I couldn't stop dusting! I went through 2 of the duster heads (obviously I wasn't keen on dusting prior to this experiment#. I even did 2 more ceiling fans in the kids rooms. I swooped down over baseboards with my magical dusting wand #and I didn't even have to stoop#. I glided over the tops of the door frames. The back of our big stupid TV #usually I have to pull it out to even get to the back#....done. The cable box and DVD player? Done. I just glided the duster over and it picked up dust. Hopefully I will get more mileage out of the duster heads next time #which should happen since it is 1000 times easier for me). And since I hate housekeeping, I LOVE that this product saved me a lot of time and energy. Even a small child could handle this product :) Hint hint kids!
These are so easy to use! These slip on the plastic handle duster and trap lots of dust, hair, lint, etc. these are easy enough for kids to use and sanitary too. We use ours to dust a variety of household items like tv, bookshelves, baseboards, mini blind,s, fan blades....the list is endless and since they trap a lot of dust, they can be shaken out and used more than once during a routine cleaning.
I like this product. The 360 handle is very helpful since I am short and can't always reach the areas I want to dust. I like that the dust heads are replaceable instead of having to keep buying a completely new duster. Only complaint is that large dust chunks sometimes just wipe right off the surface and the duster doesn't grab them, causing the dust to fall on other surfaces in my home.
I love using these dusters. I'm always extremely surprised at how well these work at picking up dust. A lot of the time I don't even see the dust, and do I use these puppies! It does such a good job of keeping the door and trapping it, none of your escapes the dust cloth. And when I'm finished I'm able to throw it away and can get a new one. They're highly efficient. Highly recommend!
The one I have has an extendable handle so I can reach really high up and it has a flexible angled part so it forms an L shape , perfect for ceiling fans and light fixtures. The Duster pads themselves are all around unlike the other Swiffer products which have only duster fibers on one side. Traps dust from all angles and keeps it intact so there's no dust falling to the floor.
I do love these dusters, they are fantastic in hard to reach areas like the back of TV stands and fans and by curtain rods. They gather all the dust well without getting dust all over the place. My only complaint would be that I wish they made these in a cloth version I could re-wash instead of having to always buy refills for my duster. Also wish the handle was sturdier.
This works pretty good, It is a little pricey in my opinion, especially the refills, It does collect dust, but (I.E.) thick dust that builds up on ceiling fans, doesn't cling on to the duster it just ends up in the floor. The duster also does not stay on well and constantly comes off, making it frustrating, It does collect dust pretty well for the most part tho.
This duster is handy for getting lighting fixtures and vents that I can't reach without the extension handle. It's also great for reaching shelves and picture frames. Swifter's a great brand because it acts like a dust magnet and does just comes off of whatever your dusting and instantly grabs onto the swiffer. I wouldn't think of using anything else.
Good product when you need a quick dust. I prefer a spray and rag but these are great with an extender to reach my fan blades and on top of kitchen cabinets. Depending on the amount of dust you have, they do drop quite a bit of dust on your floors though. I also use them on my blinds but vacuum the carpet immediately afterward for the above reason.
If you have not gotten a Swiffer yet you are cheating yourself. It makes cleaning so much easier and for an allergy sufferer like me makes less sneezes while cleaning too. I love how the kit comes with everything you need at a cheaper price than buying everything individually although I think it is a little bit more expensive than it should be.
