It was hard to use at first. But I realized you need to microwave it every time it gets hard. Which is often. If you have a sparse amount of hair down under, it will be painless. If you have a more/a lot, it'll hurt your first time. Following just maintain it and it won't hurt as much! The smaller your application, the less it hurts. I got a set of 3 from Amazon for really cheap ~$15.

Q & A
Does it burn the skin?
I've used this for years but recently it seems that my microwave doesn't want to heat it up. This has happened with the last two boxes I've purchased. We installed a new microwave between these purchases and the problem persisted. Anyone else had this problem?
