I picked up the Metalux Surface Suspended light and had a friend install it in my garage and it’s been working out really well. The lighting it puts out is bright and even which is exactly what I needed for that space. I was tired of working in dim lighting and this fixture completely solved that problem. The installation was pretty straightforward according to my friend. He’s fairly handy and was able to get it mounted without too much trouble. The instructions were clear enough and all the hardware needed came in the box. It took him maybe 45 minutes total including getting the old fixture down. The build quality seems solid. It’s not the fanciest thing to look at but it’s a garage light so I wasn’t expecting something decorative. It feels sturdy and well made for what it is. The housing is metal and doesn’t feel cheap at all. One minor thing is that it does hang down a bit more than I initially thought it would based on the measurements, so just make sure you account for that if you have a lower ceiling. In my case it’s fine but I could see it being an issue in some spaces. The light output is really impressive though. It’s made a huge difference in my workspace and I can actually see what I’m doing now when I’m working on projects. The coverage is good too so there aren’t any weird dark spots like I had with my previous setup. For the price I think this is a great value. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do and seems like it’ll hold up well over time. If you need reliable bright lighting for a garage, workshop, or utility area I’d definitely recommend giving this one a look.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

The 4' lengths (2 1/8" depth) offer an ideal fit for my space, and with up to 165 LPW, it’s a significant upgrade in terms of energy savings and reduced watts per square foot. The light is versatile, suitable for ceiling, wall, or suspension mounting, and it’s both DLC Compliant and UL Damp rated, making it perfect for my garage environment. Plus, it comes with a 5-year warranty, adding peace of mind. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because it requires an electrician for installation, if you're not familiar with installing lighting yourself. However, the look of the light is definitely a 5-star feature! I’ll be sure to share new pictures once the full renovation and installation are complete!

This light is incredibly efficient and adds a significant amount of brightness to any room. While it does require hardwiring, my handy husband was able to follow the included instructions without any issues. I had him install it in our poorly lit garage and it has made a world of difference. The room now looks so much brighter and cleaner and I love that this is more energy efficient than what I previously had up!
