What it is:
A quick-absorbing, medicated dry oil to clear congested pores, treat and prevent acne, and smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for clearer, smoother skin.
- Acne and blemishes
If you want to know more…
With 1.5 percent salicylic acid, this fast-acting, quick-drying, medicated oil clears acne and blackhead-causing buildup and debris from congested pores for smoother, blemish-free skin. Tea tree oil and black cumin seed oil support clear skin, while hexylresorcinol and licorice naturally brighten the appearance of old acne discolorations for a more even-toned complexion.
Counterbalancing the potentially drying effects of salicylic acid, milk thistle and cucumber seed oil nourish the skin and smooth the appearance of lines and wrinkles, without leaving a greasy residue. Chamomile and neroli soothe stressed, blemish-prone skin.

What else you need to know:
"When I formulated U.F.O., I wanted to create a dry oil that practically disappears into the skin, leaving oily skin smooth (but never greasy) and yet effectively treated for blemishes and blackheads. Salicylic acid is notoriously over-drying, leaving your skin stripped and looking irritated. By infusing salicylic acid into clarifying oils (like tea tree oil and black cumin seed oil), the drying effects of salicylic acid are nipped in the bud, while all of the treatment aspects (like clearing congested pores and managing blackheads and blemishes) are in full-force. U.F.O. is part of the new Green Line, along with Martian Mattiyfing Melting Water-Gel Toner, created specifically for oily skin clients."—Sunday Riley

Sunday Riley U.F.O. Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil
- "Absolutely OBSESSED with this! Keeps all my stubborn acne at bay! I apply twic a day sometimes, once in the am, and once at night. Has a strong natural scent but I actually like it. It is very gentle especially for my sensitive skin. It is an oil, but it works like a charm for oily skin. Wouldn't buy any other serum! " in 93 reviews
- "Just bought this oil, and immediately after putting it on I can feel my breakouts soothed and the light tingling from the salicylic acid so I know it's working. For my normally oily, retinol-dried out skin, it's hydrating enough for daytime use." in 78 reviews
Definitely my favorite face oil for getting rid of my breakouts. During an active breakout I will use it twice a day (just 2 drops) then when the breakouts go away I use it every other day usually in the morning to keep the breakouts at bay.
This oil is nice for people with acne prone skin. It came in a trio that was pretty pricey. This oil is very thick and has a strong smell. But, it does seem to calm my acne down and make it less inflamed. This is nice, but it’s super expensive. I probably will not purchase the full size.
I like this facial oil so far. I’ve used it as the last step of my night routine and I do think it helps calm beginning breakouts. I don’t use it as often as I should but I’m curious to see the difference in my face if I remembered to use this every night. I gave it 4 stars only because I really can’t stand the smell. I’m not sure if it’s the black cumin seed oil, but this is definitely the worst smelling beauty product I own. It doesn’t make it unbearable but it’s definitely not my favorite. I don’t really know how to describe it but I would say it’s close to a strong herbal/earthy smell. I put it on about 15 minutes ago and can still clearly smell it on my face. I would recommend purchasing this size first before committing to the 1oz bottle
I don't use this as an everyday facial oil - just when my skin is starting to break out. I think it definitely helps to restore balance back to my skin. I should also add a disclaimer that I don't suffer from severe acne (knock on wood), just the occasional breakout, so I can't speak to its effectiveness on severe acne. There is definitely a scent, but it seems natural, not like they added a fragrance to it, so just something to keep in mind if you are very sensitive to scents. Also, I appreciate that Sunday Riley is a cruelty-free brand.
I love this line. I use it almost everyday and have noticed my skin stays clear and even my skin tone looks more even. I use the toner right after I wash my face and follow up with the serum. I haven't used the serum directly on my face - I prefer to put a few drops of it in my moisturizer and then mix it together.
I got this in a kit and it irritates my eyes and my eyes are very sensitive. My skin is very sensitive and it comes with the hefty price tag it just didn’t work with my sensitive skin and the smell is not that great either
Magic but burns burns burns!!! Do NOT put this next to your eye area or even on your upper cheek because it will move on your face toward your eyes and burn your eyeballs out about 15 min after application. The burning is not immediate so wait a little before you go outside when you put this on!! Other thank that used in conjunction with the Sunday Riley sulfur mask SUNDAY RILEY Saturn Sulfur Acne Treatment Mask (which is rather drying) your most stubborn pimples will be gone overnight!! Effective but use with cautions
I didn't like this very much. It sat on top of my skin never sinking in and made me feel extremely greasy each time I sued it. I much preferred The Ordinary vitamin C oil
Great for breakouts and to use daily. My husband loves this product because it helps with his breakouts and doesn't cause oiliness
