What it is:
A quick-absorbing, medicated dry oil to clear congested pores, treat and prevent acne, and smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for clearer, smoother skin.
- Acne and blemishes
If you want to know more…
With 1.5 percent salicylic acid, this fast-acting, quick-drying, medicated oil clears acne and blackhead-causing buildup and debris from congested pores for smoother, blemish-free skin. Tea tree oil and black cumin seed oil support clear skin, while hexylresorcinol and licorice naturally brighten the appearance of old acne discolorations for a more even-toned complexion.
Counterbalancing the potentially drying effects of salicylic acid, milk thistle and cucumber seed oil nourish the skin and smooth the appearance of lines and wrinkles, without leaving a greasy residue. Chamomile and neroli soothe stressed, blemish-prone skin.

What else you need to know:
"When I formulated U.F.O., I wanted to create a dry oil that practically disappears into the skin, leaving oily skin smooth (but never greasy) and yet effectively treated for blemishes and blackheads. Salicylic acid is notoriously over-drying, leaving your skin stripped and looking irritated. By infusing salicylic acid into clarifying oils (like tea tree oil and black cumin seed oil), the drying effects of salicylic acid are nipped in the bud, while all of the treatment aspects (like clearing congested pores and managing blackheads and blemishes) are in full-force. U.F.O. is part of the new Green Line, along with Martian Mattiyfing Melting Water-Gel Toner, created specifically for oily skin clients."—Sunday Riley

Sunday Riley U.F.O. Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil
- "Absolutely OBSESSED with this! Keeps all my stubborn acne at bay! I apply twic a day sometimes, once in the am, and once at night. Has a strong natural scent but I actually like it. It is very gentle especially for my sensitive skin. It is an oil, but it works like a charm for oily skin. Wouldn't buy any other serum! " in 93 reviews
- "Just bought this oil, and immediately after putting it on I can feel my breakouts soothed and the light tingling from the salicylic acid so I know it's working. For my normally oily, retinol-dried out skin, it's hydrating enough for daytime use." in 78 reviews
I saw the raves about this oil for acne and I have cystic acne so I decided to splurge on this. It first broke me out and I thought my skin was just purging so I kept on using it for 2 weeks, and the break outs didn’t stop. So I stopped using it for another 2 weeks and then used it for another week and still was breaking out. I wanted to love it but had to return it. Just wasn’t for me.
WHERE HAS THIS BEEN ALL MY LIFE?! I want to start by saying I have suffered from acne, blemishes, and scars for several years and have searched high and low to find something that would cure this annoying skin condition. THIS WORKS! My acne has completely cleared up along with my blemishes fading away. This is seriously worth every penny and I would definitely recommend this product!
So I have very oily skin and to say I was skeptical about putting an oil on my already oily face is putting it lightly but this stuff works! I get occasional breakouts usually in the same spots and I use this twice a week to keep it under control. I'm not a big fan of the smell of this oil but it's not the worst thing I've ever smelled so I can deal with it since it works so well.
This product is really amazing at keeping skin clear of breakouts. Every time i have a zit i apply this unless one zit becomes 5 and it's moisturizing at the same time. I took one star down because of the smell. I normally get used to 'bad smells" but not this one. And i recently found out that Sunday riley has a lot of fragrance and dyes in their products. Amazed how with all that still helps breakouts.
I purchased the smaller size of this from Sephora for $40. It feels nice on my dry/combo skin before bed, but doesn't do anything amazing for me. I still have some clogged pores and still have breakouts. The smell doesn't bother me; it kind of reminds me of christmas tree scented candles. Because I paid for it and tossed the box, I will finish it, but I won't be repurchasing.
I really wanted to love this. The idea of a powerful acne fighter (salicylic acid) in the form of a hydrating oil sold me. Unfortunately, it didn't seem to do anything for my acne. It didn't necessarily break me out, but my current blemishes weren't going away, and instead felt dry while the rest of my skin would feel oily from the oily. I loved the herbal scent and how gentle it felt, I just wish there was an improvement in my breakouts.
This will ALWAYS in my skincare routine. At 36 my skin has never looked better! Gone are the days of adult cystic acne, clogged and enlarged pores and hormonal breakouts. My skin is smooth, clear and bright. For anyone who wants improved clarity this product is a must!
I really wanted to try this and I was able to get a sample of it and I really liked it, so I got a full bottle. I don't get breakouts that often but I used it when I did and it really worked well and helps with your pores also! I will definitely continue using this product.
Omg...I love this oil! I don't have acne, but I get irritation on my skin from living in a dirty city...cough cough...LA. A few drops of this in my palm gliding over my face eradicates any redness, itch, rash, bump that may be present. Wish there was a bigger bottle!
Pricey but so worth it!!! I've been using this for the past 2 months and every night I go to bed I wake up with better looking skin! I was scared it was going to be too harsh for my sensitive skin but I had absolutely no problems. Big disclaimer the smell is gross!
