I had heard such great things about this high chair and in the end I wish I had gotten a different one. It’s super expensive and definitely looks really nice. I like that the feed are adjustable and that he can sit at a proper 90 degree angle. However, changing the height requires such effort to loosen the sides of the high chair as if you’re taking it apart that I find myself delaying doing so because it’s just so not convenient. The chair is pretty clean and I like that they have different color trays to choose from. I didn’t know when I purchased it that the tray is porous so the suction bowls and plates to prevent toddlers from throwing their food don’t stay on! I had to purchase a plastic piece to go on top of it so I can use the suction. Overall it’s a nice chair but I took off 1 star for the difficulty in adjusting height and 1 for the lack of tray suction.
When our little one came into this world, there were several high-priority items that were very useful, and other than a reliable crib, this Tripp Trapp chair became super useful in our everyday lives since this became our primary tool for our little one’s meals.
There is a chair version for toddlers and a laying down version for infants, so we used the little bed version of the Tripp Trapp chair for a short little while, and this chair came in handy from months 6 to year 3 and counting.
I think one of the benefits of using a Tripp Trapp chair is its durability and its reliability. Because it is a great product, there are awesome accessories that you can purchase since this chair brand has been around the parenting community for a long time.
For our family, we have an attachable food mat that we can place on top of the table, and an attachable gown that goes with it so in most situations, we don’t really have any food mess that makes it doesn’t to the floor. So this have been a huge lifesaver for me on many occasions since you can make sure that your floors stay relatively clean while our little one has a big safety radius during the meal time.
All in all, it has been a win-win situation, and if you do plan on buying a chair for your little one, Tripp Trapp chair is just as reliable as they say since we have been using them for three years and it doesn’t really show any signs of breaking down in the least. Make sure to buy accessories on top on this chair since those mats and gowns really helped our family out since it made the cleanup process after each meal very easy since we would just wash all the food and stains off in our kitchen sink.
A very important part of our dining set up. We’ve been using this since our eldest daughter started solids and she’s now 3.5. It truly grows with you and I love that it’s easy to clean.
She’s still a bit small for regular dining chairs and the little tray just helps catch alllllll the food that drops everywhere. All pieces are detachable for easy clean ups, and it’s not hideous in the house.
We are having a second baby and we got another one so they both can have one.
