Stilas Waterproof Prime Pot in the shade 'Taffy' is my absolute favorite eyeshadow base/primer. I have super oily eyelids and often my gel liner and mascara creates a double shadow/line where it transfers to my hooded and oily eyelids, this product takes care of that. Love that its waterproof and it great to wear alone as well. Definitely recommend.

Middle of the road. Stila is a great brand with many awesome products, but this is only a 3 star primer for me. I love it’s concept, but I’m disappointed in its overall delivery. The Stila prime pot is intended to be a waterproof eye shadow primer that ensures flawless, creaseless liner and eyeshadow wear. The problem is that it’s only OK. And not better than other primers. Color selections are limited, so there isn’t an “invisible” option and skin tone matching can be a problem. If the color match is close enough, it’ll give lids a little color on its own, perfectly covering any light discoloration, evening out lid skin tone. It does work as a primer— liner/shadow does stay better than when applied alone. But, it’s not super easy to work with. The product itself is a bit thick. It sticks well, maybe too well, to shadow and skin, making it difficult to blend the primer and/or shadows. My biggest gripes: it dries out crazy fast!!! Perfectly creamy and great initially, but it dries out and cracks in a very short period even with proper storage. The container is cute, but impractical and too small. People with normal-large fingers, longer nails, will be annoyed at having to dig the primer out. OK primer— does what it’s says for a while, but it doesn’t last long enough in the storage pot or on your lids.
