Review for: Golden Pink more...
Disclaimer: this review says it's for the shadow Cobalt but the one I have is Kitten. The picture matches the shadow color I have but it's labeled wrong through Influenster.

Ok so now that that's out of the way I can rave about this cool shadow! It's like nothing I've ever used before. It's like a cream eyeshadow made of light reflecting foil. It sounds like it would be a glitter nightmare but it's far from that! When I purchased this shadow it came with a mini bottle of the Stila Stay All Day Primer that works like a glue to keep this shadow in place. It's not sticky or goopy. It also comes with a small pan so you can use the dropper to place small amounts of the priming glue on it and then place it on your lids with either your finger or a brush. I found that the best way for me to apply it is to pack on the foil shadow with my finger. No fall out and no creasing! It's a beautiful, light reflecting eyeshadow with a hint of pink in it. Definitely a cool new product for some awesome eye looks!

These things are so great! I have two colors, metallic dusty rose and metallic pixie dust. I don't have the oil that is sold with the product, so keep that in mind, but even without it these are SO reflective and shiny and metallic. I typically apply these on top of a glitter glue base, and sometimes I layer a shimmer eyeshadow beneath both of those so that absolutely no skin peaks through. i have noticed without the oil, the metallic shadows are a little bit flakey. You have to work a little bit by rubbing/patting with a finger in addition to swiping over that with a flat synthetic brush. I find that using the Makeup Forever mixing medium helps the metallic shadows stay longer, but it doesn't necessarily fix the flaking issue or imitate the oil sold with the product like I hoped. Overall though these shadows make a great statement on the center of the lid, over the entire lid, on the inner corner, etc. I would recommend, definitely!

Review for: Gilded Gold more...
I bought Metallic Gilded Gold and Comex Copper from Ulta. I had such high hopes for these, I love anything glittery. But these ended up being a let down. At $32 this product is on the more expensive end of the spectrum. I was expecting these to be awesome for that price but I was pretty disappointed. These are somewhat difficult to work with. They come with a liquid primer which you have to mix the product with in a metal tray in order to apply the shadow. This process can be a little messy. And after a few months it seemed like the primer evaporated. The shadow was not very long wearing for me, it flaked after only a few hours of wear. I would not recommend these. If you're looking for a great glitter eyeshadow I would recommend the Stila Magnificent Metals in the liquid form. They're $10 cheaper and you don't need to mix them with a primer.

I loved this soo much but somehow it got pushed to the back of my makeup drawer and I forgot about it for a couple of weeks and it dried out! The liquid dried out and the shadow itself got super hard and crusty. It is very pigmented and buildable but it doesn't blend out too well. using your fingers to pat on is the best method of application that I have found. For the price, I would hope it wouldn't have dried out and gotten crusty. I won't be buying again.

Always use this product when I want to feel glam or don't know what to do with my kid color. Definitely easy to use and love the finish. Sadly the liquid did not last nearly enough for the whole shadow, but I find it still works just as good! It is quite pricey but I believe the product is well worth it. I've found the best way to apply is with a finger, careful how much though because it can quickly become chunky

I bought a few of these on sale and really liked them. You can use with or without the primer. I like it as an eye shadow topper. Gives an awesome pop to your makeup look.. I have noticed that it does seem to dry up somewhat fast though. But other than that I would definitely recommend

This stuff is fantastic, I use it for a glitter look on my lid and it is oh my gosh SO pigmented and creamy. It lasts all day long and the packaging is beautiful. I love all of stillas packaging, It is super easy to use. I find it easiest and most benefit when I apply it with my finger, It gets so much for such little product. It lasts so long and it is just beautiful!!!!

I give these two stars solely for the amount of sparkle. However, once these dry, that sparkle is all over your face and you ain't getting it off. They're bad chunky, they crumble, they're a pain to mix up, don't waste your money. Say no.

This is a unique product. I had never seen anything like this when I purchased mine. The eye looks created with this product are very bold and metallic so I don't use it in my every day look, but the pigmentation of the product is breathtaking. It is a bit pricey but it will last you a long time if you use it on occasion.

Ok so does anyone have any advice on applying the stila Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eye Shadow Metallic? Every tutorial I've watched just shows using your finger and my fingers are to big and lids are to small for that 😂
