I was very excited to try the Stiga CS 300e cordless chainsaw for Influenster, not least of all as it was my first time using an electric chainsaw in the garden! It arrived in a compact but fairly heavy box, well packaged with nice branding. The instruction manual is a weighty tome, with instructions in multiple languages and a heavy emphasis on safe handling and use. What I noticed immediately was it came with two rechargeable batteries. At first I thought it was a spare, but no, it uses two which is why it’s feels so powerful. It was fairly simple to assemble, but we found the instructions a little confusing and had to go over them multiple times to ensure we’d done it correctly. I would have really appreciated a video showing all the steps in detail, as I think that would have been easier to follow. I did look on the Stiga website but to no avail. So, once assembled, we read through the safety info and took it out into the garden. It is reassuringly heavy but beautifully balanced and the two handed grip makes it very easy to handle. It started and stopped easily and quickly and has an auto cut-out safety feature, which was reassuring. My friend used it to remove a tree and found it cut beautifully, very cleanly and accurately, it coped well with the variety of cuts needed. He was really impressed and we agreed it was an excellent piece of kit for a serious hobby gardener and would make a great gift.

The chainsaw arrived well packaged. This is very easy to put together, the ability to hang and charge on the same stand is a great idea. It comes with 2 large batteries which hold their battery life well and allowed us to cut 50 6 inch Diameter logs in approximately 30 minutes. It has a click safety handle on the top that is stiff to operate but it ensures safety at all times. The cutting belt is easy to remove to sharpen. It does require chain saw oil to lubricate the chain, which costs approximately £7. It comes with a safety guard and sheath. It’s quite light and easy to use. I would definitely recommend.

This is a fab product, not too noisy, and not too heavy, making it easy to move it where you need it to be. Decent safety features, which helps a novice like myself when using the product
