The most known go-to coffee shop in the US, it holds that title for a reason. Starbucks can give you virtually an coffee or tea drink you want and have delicious pastries and snacks to go with it. Highly recommend their bistro boxes, so healthy and filling, my favorite is the protein box. The only downside is they frequently have a long drive-thru line and even when you go inside, I have waited upwards of 20 minutes to get my coffee
Starbucks is obviously life... I have one right next to where I work and I usually end up grabbing an iced coffee to help me through my day! I love their roasted tomato and mozzarella panini! (and that is coming from someone who HATES tomatoes!!) I don't know what it is about it but it's delicious... If you're a frequent Starbucks member you should definitely enroll in they're app and rewards membership.. once you earn then gold member status, you get free refills on coffee and tea!
Starbucks is not only a place that I love to go sit and get work done, but their handcrafted specialty drinks are my favorite part of the experience. The staff are always friendly, the drink prices are a little steep, but I appreciate the hard work that the employees put in, so I don't mind spending a little extra.
Yes I know it's a little more expensive than everywhere else but you get what you pay for. I've never been someone who can only go to Starbucks or it's no coffee at all. I've noticed that I never get a bad cup of coffee, dessert or rude barista unlike with other coffee places I some days go to. I rather pay a little extra for a coffee I know will always be good and a smiling face than a watered down or even burnt cup of coffee anywhere else. I've even turned my boyfriend and die hard DD lover onto Starbucks.
I really enjoy a few things that set Starbucks apart - fair trade coffee and what that does for poor countries, that most around me have a drive through which is nice for not dragging in a toddler, and the consistency with their drinks. The prices are absolutely absurd and I wish they would get a little more reasonable, especially with the low wages they pay baristas.
I have the Starbucks iPhone app, which is fairly convenient once you're used to it. But the design isn't necessarily intuitive when it comes to managing cards. Especially when it comes to adding a new card in order to transfer funds. (I often need to do that, as I receive gift cards.) Starbucks also sends out a fair amount of "noise" through the app to promote specials and encourage you to buy more. Minor irritants, but still irritants.
I am a self-proclaimed coffee snob. I don't like coffee. I like good coffee! Without question, Starbucks always delivers an enjoyable, delicious beverage whether your coffee is "plain", or you're getting a specialty hot or cold beverage. The cost might be a little more than some other places, but in my opinion, it's worth every penny.
If you're not a gold card member, I suggest you become one. It's way to easy to join and get free drinks from your normal every day purchase. Just buy a gift card, register it online, and use that one to pay. Reload it whenever it runs out and every drink you buy is more stars towards a free menu item if your choice
I'm a Starbucks addict. I go way more often than I'd like to admit, and I always get a drink worth half of my daily calories. They have a decent rewards program, so I'm frequently receiving free drinks, but the food and drinks are expensive, so I've spent a large amount of money before I've earned a reward. I love it, though. The staff are usually pretty nice and quirky, too.
First things first, I would much rather have caribou coffee over Starbucks. Caribou had more lighter options and there Coffee has never bothered my stomach. With that being said, the coffee shop in my college sells Starbucks so if I want to buy coffee with my dining dollars that is my only option. I have found certain drinks that I like such as the skinny vanilla latte (and most recently I have found that they will even blend it for me!) I think Starbucks is a decent coffee shop but I personally prefer Caribou!
