Tasting notes:   Earthy, herbal. Flavor Intensity:   Extra Bold. Asia/Pacific Sumatra.  Like the tiger indigenous to Sumatra, this coffee is big, bold, unpredictable and utterly captivating.  No other coffee has its distinctive earthy aroma and lingering low notes.  The heavy, full body and incredibly concentrated herbal spice notes are the hallmarks of a great Sumatra and the pride of our most seasoned roasters. Enjoy with: A stack of syrupy pancakes before the house wakes up. The Flavor of Asia/Pacific Coffees:  Traditions and growing conditions within the Asia/Pacific region are as varied as its coffees.  Flavors range from spicy and full-bodied. see more...

The flavor of the coffee was so dark, but so very smooth. I put less coffee to water ratio then recommended and the flavor was on point. If I followed the directions the flavor of the coffee was a bit stronger and that’s good too but some days I didn’t feel that strong this was needed and flavor. The coffee mixes really well with sugar and creamer. I felt like it give me a little extra boost in my day but I found out that the blonde roast actually has a little bit more caffeine so I’m going to probably go back to that. I did like the full body flavor of the espresso and that’s the only reason why I would purchase it again since it is the same price as the blonde roast. I got the ground bag of coffee for about seven bucks at the grocery store.

I’ve truly enjoyed the crisp taste of their coffee as versus the nutty taste of Folgers (just for a comparison). The k cups are a bit overpriced. The grounds are cheaper. Italian is my favorite bold and my favorite roast, period.

The strong caffeine content is preferable in my honest opinion. Mediums have a stronger caffeine content than bolds (FYi) I prefer a strong taste so I brew mediums on bold and bold on regular.

I use this sometimes whenever i need a boost in my day. I love starbucks as  a whole and i'm happy that they started selling their products in stores. It is a little pricey but it's the starbucks brand. Your paying for good quality so I would recommend it.

This is my go-to coffee. I pick it up at the local grocery store and they always have great deals. I use it for my delonghi espresso machine and the flavor is deep and rich. I usually use the Illy espresso for the machine but the Starbucks dark roast works just as well.

I have tried to elevate my coffee game and started with dark brew Starbucks coffee. I have heard that a good dark roast can be had with no creamer or additions. Personally, I tried it and I still found it a little acidic, but it was pretty doable.

Great coffee with a bold flavor. Not to overwhelming and will give you that extra kick of caffeine when needed. Packaging is appealing to the eye and easy to store for later. I enjoy it in the K-Cups as well!

My go to coffee whenever I buy from Starbucks . I like coffee that I can taste everything that is happening. When I compare this to a another brand it doesn’t compare . Definitely would buy this again .

This is an okay Starbucks coffee blend, but it often has a bitterness that is hard to get around. Coffee can be bold and strong in flavor, but bitterness is not the same thing. Also, Starbucks coffees are often stale by the time it makes it to store shelves, which might explain the bitterness. If you can find a fresh bag, it is okay, but otherwise I do not recommend this product.

A strong bold coffee that has a rich flavor to it. When I use the espresso roast, I like to use it in my French press so I can really squeeze out the flavor! I brew this roast about 200° for 5 minutes and always comes out just right. Would recommend to black coffee drinkers or for mixing at home lattes and cappuccinos!

I never use to like dark roasts but I love this one. If it's a cup for just me I fill the water a slightly over 2oz and have my tablespoon slightly over flowing and its just right in strength and taste (I always have the strong button on otherwise it tastes too watered down)
