It did not go on smooth at all, and I thought it was super orange. Consistency is thick and hard to spread (it’s actually a lot of work). I woke up and my legs feel soft, and have a sun kissed bronze (no orange). So, I am happy!
Added bonus- this is actually the first self tanner that actually does not smell like tanner! I recently tried Tan water by luxe tan, which smelled good on application but an hour later came the dreaded tanner smell. This smells fresh and my spouse actually asked what I was wearing because I smelled fresh!
Overall, if you could get past the application process, this is a great self-tanner for a natural (not fake) glow/bronze!
Wash your hands immediately after application so they don’t stain:) Happy Tanning!
Disclaimer: I only took away one star because this lotion gave me an itchy rash all over my body, but that was my own fault because I am sensitive to scents! Otherwise, I thought that this was a great product!
My relationship with self tanner is complicated. I love it but am horrible at applying. I've tried so many products, used so many application methods and always seem to mess up somehow.
I got a deluxe sample of this and finally got around to using it and was floored. For application I used my hands. I do have a mitt but find I can blend easier using my hands. To keep from them turning orange I always wash with dr bronners after and have never had an issue.
This product has a color guide making it really easy to see if you missed spots. The smell, I mean it's self tanner. Yes it smells but yes it goes away. Dry time was a little longer than I like but use a hair dryer and it helps.
Woke up with perfect color. Only had one area around my ankle that picked up too much product. Hands down best self tan product I've tried yet.
