Review for: Dark more...
I originally bought this in Europe where I managed to get 2 bottles for 5 Euros total. It was one of the first serious self tanners I used (making my way up from gradual self tanners) and I loved it. I've been using self tanners for 11 years so by now I've tried probably 20 or so and rarely have issues with streaking or anything. And with this one, it applied very evenly even when I was new to mousse formulas. What I liked about it before was that USED to be a really green formula- like frog green on the skin- but when you washed it off you were left with a real looking tan because the color counteracted any orange.

Now I've repurchased it in the US from a UK seller again for $6, because I didn't want to pay the regular $12.99 price at Ulta. I wanted to mention that just in case it's a different formula here- I might cave and buy it just to compare- but now it seems like it's been reformulated. It's much more orange than it used to be. It's still very very dark- I normally use 2 coats of mousse tanners and leave them on for 12 hours- but with this one, I had to use a scrub for 2 days just to get it to lighten it up to a more reasonable shade and it did end up transferring to my towels every time when I rubbed my legs dry. After 11 years of self tan, I know to thoroughly scrub with a scrubbing mitt before hand and to get self-tanner off- so I feel inclined to blame it on the problem rather than inexperience or improper washing. Lesson learned- either use one application, or only keep it on for 4-8 hours.

Regardless, I still really love this tanner for how comfortable it is to wear (I haven't tried their lotion version because self tanning lotions typical smell worse and for longer, and feel really sticky on the skin). I do have to be careful on my hands and around my ankles, and in the future lotion up my knees before the tan. I don't have these issues with my favorite tanner, so again I'll just have to be more mindful of that in the future.

k, so this product was really pretty good. I know a lot of people have
tried to compare it to St. Tropez. Even Youtube beauty gurus are
mentioning it as an inexpensive alternative to St. Tropez. I will say
that I have never tried the St. Tropez mousse (only the lotion), so I
don't know if I can make an "apples to apples" comparison. But I will
given tips and tricks of application.
I have used A LOT of sunless
tanner in my day and I think this is the darkest I've tried. It lasts a
long time also, I didn't need to reapply for at least 5 days (which is
usually not the case for me). I thought the color was pretty good also.
It actually depended on the lighting. Under natural light it was a nice
golden brown and under fluorescent lighting it was a little orangey but
not to the point that someone would be able to tell you had a sunless
One thing I will say is that it can be VERY messy to apply. Tip
#1: It comes out foam but turns to almost a liquid pretty quickly when
it touches the skin. This makes it hard for blending and I ended up with
a few streaks because I couldn't blend fast enough. This brings me to
the second application tip. Tip #2: WORK IN VERY SMALL SECTIONS-And I'm
not talking about upper arm section vs. lower arm section. I mean
shoulder area, bicep area, triceps area, inside of upper arm, half of
forearm etc. If you don't you WILL be splotchy/streaky. I tried using
larger sections on one occasion and it was a disaster. I ended up having
to apply more tanner to cover the uneven areas because it dries so
quickly. Tip #3: You MUST wear gloves, use a brush, or wear a mitt for
application. This will stain your hands in a heart beat.

Just WOW. After using L'oreal for about a year and turning literally orange with all of its products, I decided to try this bc of the awesome reviews it had. I have to admit I'm beyond happy with this product. I'm naturally REALLY pale like albino pale, blonde and green eyed. This mousse turned me brown, not orangey brown, GOLDEN BROWN. I applied two pumps to each part of the leg, after mosturizing knees and other dry areas, and the results speak for themselves. I let the colour develop for about 15 hours before taking a shower. The colour didn't wash off, it looks exactly like it did before the shower and my skin is sooooo soft.
It wasn't difficult to apply at all. I used a mitt and just applied it in circular motions. It blended so softly into my skin!! The smell wasn't a problem either. When u first apply it, it smells rly nice... The day after, it has that typical "fake tan smell" but only if u smell your skin like really closely. I thought it didn't have a smell until I smelled my hand haha! Okay so pale girls, go for it!!!!!!! Best self tanner ever.

Review for: Medium more...
First i would like to say that I literally never tan naturally. Im so fair skinned that all i do is burn and then turn back to my normal vampire colored skin. Ive also never gone to a tanning salon or used a self tanner until I was with a friend and she said I should try it. At first i was nervous bc I didn't want to look orange and was afraid it would be super patchy. When applying this it looks a green color on your legs and that was another thing i was freaking out about haha but nothing to worry about there because that does go away (obviously).  I applied it and left it on for the 3 hours it recommended and after just lightly rinsed it off. My legs looked so good and tanned and i fell in love. I love this because it wasn't an orangey tan but a more olive toned one which i was hoping to end up with. Now that i tried this i want to use it non-stop bc it looks so good. I do highly recommend this self tanner. Also, before applying the tanner, remember to shave completely and exfoliate!!

This is the first self-tanner I've ever used. I was very nervous in the beginning because I am rather pale. I choose to use the medium mousse the first round and it made me look a little orange. If I wanted it to look decent, I would have to apply one coat the first day and another the following day.
After reading more reviews, I decided to buy the dark mousse and it looks so good! When applying (with a mitt), it's very easy to tell if you missed any places and it dries very fast. I start from my legs and work my way up.
Sometimes I have my days where I feel like it comes off too quickly and other days I can't get it off. You do have to be careful when you're drying off your body because you can easily wipe the product off. I loved the price. Definitely give St Moriz mousse a chance!

I love love love that it is a mousse formula! Lotions tend to make me blotchy because there is not color gaurd. Also, the color of this is absolutely beautiful. Alot of self tanners will leave you orange. Not this one! It left me a beautiful bronzy colorful. To get a smooth, beautiful natural looking tan, make sure you shave and exfoliate 24 hours before applying the tan. If you shave or exfoliate right before you tan, your hair follicles will still be opened and will also tan, making you look splotchy. Make sure to moisturize! Especially at the knees, elbows, and ankles! Keep the mousse on for 6 hours, then wash off with water. This works amazingly for me! I also have had no problem applying it to my face. Make sure to use a Mitt when applying tan!

I put this on at night and a lot of it washed off in the morning. It still left good color and I'm hoping it will develop more throughout the day but I didn't give me an omg I'm so dark look! Which can be good for most people. But luckily with such a small price tag I'm not afraid to add an extra layer it each use. I was worried because as I was putting it on it dried so crazy quick that I almost wasn't able to blend it, I just had to keep adding more. But luckily, even though some areas looked like they might turn out streaky, when I washed it off it was nice and even! It's got a nice color, in my opinion! All in all I will purchase this again, even though I'm not jaw dropped, because the price is so good! I hate buying expensive tanners.

I am in love. This is definitely one of my favourite self tanners! I was worried the medium wouldn’t be dark like I wanted but it’s perfect! It was super easy to apply, it dried fairly quickly, it’s super affordable and the self tanner smell is not overwhelming. I definitely recommend trying this product. Just remember to exfoliate and moisturize before using this product, avoid water for a day and DO NOT put this on with your hand!! Use a mitt! Overall I’m extremely happy with this results. I used this product an hour before I went to bed and I woke up bronzed with even coverage! (This product seems super buildable by the way!)

The tan ended up LASTING a week and that’s with showers everyday.

I absolutely love this product!

I have used both the Medium and the Dark color and both work amazing for my skin tone (might to medium with a slightly olive/golden undertone) to give me a warm natural tan year round. I like to use the medium in the winter and dark for the summer months. I've found that since the actual products has a slightly green tone to it that it creates an natural look but still makes me multiple shades darker. I've recommended this to countless friends and they have ended up loving it too. One of the best affordable tanning products.

I also highly recommend the express tan, in 1-2-3 hours, but I leave on overnight then rinse off the next morning. Make sure to apply with a mitt and it will be AMAZING!

This is the first self tanner I have used. In the beginning j was scared. No one wants that orange streaky fake tan. To my surprise this looked very natural. It was very affordable. I got the dark mousse which was $13. I was a little scared when I first applied this. The mousse looks brown but as I blended it on my skin it looked green/grey. I was so afraid I was going to look like a zombie but as it developed it looked like a nice dark tan. DO NOT GET WET when using this! It will leave a spot where ever it hits. Also this does have that fake tan smell. Even after a shower I felt like I could still smell it. Besides the smell it's great! Highly recommend trying this!

I managed to buy this in store 2 bottles for 5 euros while I was abroad. Anyone know the best place to purchase online in the US? For less than $10?

Would you highly recommend this product? How does it compare to other brands of tanning lotion ex: jergens? What does it smell like? Does it leave skin with streaks if applied with a tanning mitt?
