We have an Australian Shepherd/pointer mix. She’s a natural herder. She can be a great listener when she chooses, however, she’s very stubborn when it comes to in-the-moment behavior corrections. She doesn’t respond to her choke collar or a pinch collar. We tried using a friend’s training collar to no avail. Within the first week of use, her behaviors changed tremendously!! We only have to use the #2 setting. Finally, we have been able to introduce her to the house cats without her trying to herd them or show dominance! We can’t wait to finally start in-depth training with her now! This may have prevented us from having to put her in a 2-wk boarding and training class that was going to cost us a couple thousand! So grateful!
