I'm interested in the weight loss aspect of using this product. What are the drawbacks? Is it safe to use as meal replacement? Would I be able to eat anything at all? What's the time frame for cycling and results?

It's definitely safe; I'd say use it for two or three meals but not a whole days worth. You'll want something to chew and even doing pure soylent you're still probably eating healthier than fast food all day.
