I only used one pad since my dog likes to destroy it. The material is good. It definitely absorbs, and it is not messy. I do recommend it if your dog doesn't destroy it.

I wouldn’t say these are any better than regular puppy pads but they are effective and work for what they are meant to do, I gave these to a friend who is training her puppy

I recently gave the Pet Life Smart Prints Dog Pads a try. I immediately noted that the pads are thick, well-constructed, and quilted. I hoped that my Boston would use it when she refused to go out due to horribly cold weather, but she pretty much ignored it. I wound up testing it with 3oz of water. The water was completely soaked up, with no leakage, demonstrating the quilted, five-layer construction's effectiveness. I agitated the area on the pad to test the scent, which is a light, Sweet Bluegrass fragrance that was not overpowering or powdery like similar products. Having had a kid, I also see how this might be a good option in a pinch for changing a baby's diaper on the go, but probably not the most cost-effective choice. I'm confident in saying that the Pet Life Smart Prints Dog Pads are super absorbent, but I just wish our dog would try it as an option so we wouldn't have to face the bitter winter cold! I received this product complimentary for my honest review.
