Awful company. Terrible service. Never again. This company overcharged me $300 a week after the car was returned. I had to dispute with my CC company and BBB. I also found that this company is under investigation for extreme overcharges. Avoid at all costs.
The problem I have had is I returned a car with no damage. A few weeks later I received a bill for 900 and a picture of damage to the car. However, When I showed up no damage was mentioned. I reported them to BBB and they are trying to mediate the situation. My only request was that they view their videos to confirm that when I rented the car, the condition was acceptable, and when I returned it, that it had damage. However, they will not review the video to validate if I actually was responsible for the damage. This seems like an abuse of power since upon the return I was not notified and two+ plus weeks damage is reported. Seems like a scam. Good cars, not ethical.
Do not rent from Sixt. We got a rock chip on the rental car windshield while on vacation. Turned it in on our insurance. Expected to pay the $100 deductible, but about 16 months later Sixt sends us a demand letter for an extra hundred dollar administration fee. Our insurance company advised they don’t cover “fees”. Sixt is basically doing a shake down on us. We will never rent from them again. Advised we would leave bad reviews and social media and they did not care.
Also when we rented the car, the first car they gave us had mechanical issues and we had to take it back and exchange it for a different rental car while on vacation. This wasted a couple hours of our vacation. Guess we should have demanded an administrative fee for that….
True, they have luxury cars like BMW, but they are plain Jane stripped down models with no cool features. They were all boring colors, black, white or grey and they all seemed to be dented, dinged or dirty. We were not impressed.
