So thankful for Similac Alimentum. This is the only formula that worked for both our children their first few months of life. Although it smells a little off, it works extremely well for sensitive tummies. Since it is pre-digested it is easily absorbed into their bodies and reduced gas pains in my children. With our second, we didn't even play the guessing game when his stomach issues started and went straight to Alimentum.
This crap smells nasty and makes kids poop smell nasty. I had to use for like a week or two while I was getting the dairy out of my breast milk in which I quit using this crap because it was unnecessary for me to use it at all but the dr was just formula shoving. This crap gave me a headache. NASTY NASTY NAsty. Also it’s for kids with good allergies but hey it has Casein in it in which that’s what babies with dairy allergies are not supposed to have. Bleak this stuff is gross.
This formula is great for a baby with a sensitive stomach. I was unable to breastfeed and this ended up being a great alternative although it can get pretty expensive. Usually am able to get it on sale on amazon so I recommend checking there for it!
The only formula my 6month old can use. Since starting on it she has gained weight, is less sick and definitely a happier baby. The price however is very out of my price range and very hard to afford on a single income. If it was a little cheaper it would be 100 times better.
This formula is a blessing!!! We went through 4 to 5 formula changes before we were blessed with this formula. Yes it does have a not so good smell but it basically tamed my daughter's reflux! I had to stop breastfeeding because of my low supply and I had a lot of stress at the time because I had postpartum Preeclampsia. I would definitely recommend this!
We had to switch over to Alimentum from Similac Sensitive, after my daughter had a series of spit-ups. It worked for her for a couple of months and the same issue started. Unfortunately we had to switch over to another formula because of her allergies. I also found this a bit expensive!
Thank you! I can finally realistically afford to feed my baby. I used this formula by choice with my first, and it got to a point where it cost us $30 every two days to feed my baby. With the larger canister, I can manage to spread it out all the way to 4-5 days for such a better value.
When my son was a baby he was allergic to soy and he was lactose intolerant so we had to use this formula and it worked really well for us he was very well nurse so I give it a thumbs up
We searched for anything that could help my baby and nothing would. After failed tests and multiple formulas we finally tried alimentum and nothing had worked better. I tell everyone about this
This formula has been a god sent for my daughter. We tried numerous other formulas after breastfeeding failed at 2 weeks old. Come to find out she has a sever dairy and lactose allergy as well as a soy allergy. This formula not only helped her belly from being so upset and gassy, but she wasn’t as fussy or grumpy anymore either! The only downfall to this formula is it’s SUPER expensive compared to other Similac formulas, and there isn’t a generic brand of it. This one retails at Walmart for $27 where the other small cans like this one are $16 or $17. They also don’t sell this one in a tub like other formulas are, just in a bigger can size!
Q & A
I will be a first time mother soon. I plan to breast feed but know that eventually will have to probably use formula. I have heard of this product in passing but don't know anything about it. Is there a better product or is this the best? How is the price?
Did any one else's baby have weird bowel movements while on this ?
