This was the first scary novel I ever picked up and I've been a Stephen King fan ever since. The story keeps you on the edge of your seat , wondering when Jack will totally loose his mind. His young , gifted son, sees what's happening and mom has no clue.. will they survive the winter together or will murder and mayhem ensue? Read the book! It wont let you down. Keep the lights on!

I just got done rereading this book for Halloween and it’s so amazing! Such a good read from cover to cover! There are a lot more details and back stories in the book and it does answer a lot of questions I had about the movie. If you are a fan of the movie or a horror aficionado this is a great book for you.
