So forgive me for using a couple older photos. I’ve literally used this stuff for years. During winter I primarily straighten my hair. Mainly because I can, don’t tell me how to live my life Mother Nature. I have naturally curly, fine hair, and I can’t believe I forgot to even review this until I used it today (it’s currently sitting and air drying for a bit, I’ll explain why). Shea moisture products on the whole are all amazing. Until recently I used all Shea moisture, but I recently made the switch to waste free bar shampoo and conditioner. This is one item I will not part with. Finding anything paraben free, alcohol free, and without a ton of chemicals in it for curly hair is actually tough. Seriously, read the labels. Alcohol is curly hairs arch nemesis, besides a brush. Don’t brush curly hair, you’ll just piss it off. Anywho, this particular product is made for coarse, ethnic hair. If your hair is like mine, you’ll have to play with it some time find the right amount. Also, once you stop using chemical filled products, your hair will thank you by being cooperative. A girlfriend of mine has the most beautiful natural (ethnic) hair and she recommended I tried this years ago. The most important thing, make sure you use VERY LITTLE if you have hair like mine. Do NOT brush your hair after washing it. Minimize how much you run your fingers through it. Take a TINY amount of this, and apply it to your hair with “prayer hands” in sections. You don’t need much on your scalp area because it will weigh it down. I do some small finger curls, and scrunch it ONLY once. Let it air dry if you’re lucky and have volume, or if you are rocking natural hair. I let it air dry for maybe 20 minutes, enough to let it coil up on its own, then blow dry WITH a diffuser (you have to have a diffuser) on LOW. The results are amazing! It smells so good. If you use the right amount, your hair won’t be greasy at all, and the curls are so defined and bouncy. Best thing... it’s cheap! A tub of this stuff lasts me almost a year! For less than $15, that’s amazing. Show me a product for that price without chemicals that can do that. Seriously.. I dare you. lol. It’s also the ONLY product I have to put in my hair to make it curly. I use to have a regimen of 5 different products to do it, none were actually good for my hair. I also just realized that I write REALLY long reviews. Sorry. If you’re still reading this far... give this a shot. Even works on straight hair to give it a little wave, but you’d have to watch a tutorial for that because I don’t have straight hair.

The hold was pretty good, slip was great, I paired it with one of my other leave ins and I think that overall I would use it again!

I love Shea moisture products for my daughter. Anytime we try something new she gets so excited. First, the smell is great and it’s easy to work into the hair. Secondly, the jam doe not leave the hair hard. Lastly, the end result is a happy kid who wouldn’t want that. Thank you Jada & Candice.

Smells super good but I feel like it didn’t do much for my hair. It made my hair feel really greasy and made it frizzer than normal too. This didn’t really work for my hair type but let me know if it worked for you! #haircare #hair #curly #curls #beauty #makeup #frizz

I try to use the least amount of products on my hair at once. Back in days I used to to put on gel, mouse and hairspray all at once but of course it damaged my hair. With products like this I don't have to use anything else and I love it... plus it smells AMAZING

Smells amazing, and you don't need a lot depending on your hair texture; I have 2C&3A, medium/average texture and porosity in 3A sections, fine non-porous texture in 2B sections. I found it very easy to over-do it with product usage, making my hair weighted and greasy. SheaMoisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curling Gel Souffle

I had two bad experiences with this product when I bought it from Ulta. However I thought I would give it another try when I saw it in Walmart. I’m so happy it did because it really does an amazing job. It’s keep the hold of my curls. A little does go a long way but I love it so much!

I have curly hair and usually love the Shea moisture line however this product was a very strange consistency unlike any cream or gel based products I’ve ever used. I left my hair extremely greasy feeling and didn’t do anything for curl definition

At first I thought the product was a very weird texture but it gave my hair a nice sleek shine with still leaving my hair feel lightweight. I’m still trying to get the hang of using the product fully but overall I really like the look it gives my hair and the moisture it adds to it!

How does this product work? Does it feel crispy?
Tiffanie W. il y a un an
I agree with Brandi T. I was unable to test it because it was so thick and it wouldn’t “melt down” to use, even with rubbing it in my hair.

If I go out of my way to finding a way for it to melt maybe it would be okay but honestly it's not worth the trouble. Shea Moisture has so many great products and this one just isn't one
