I've owned this hoover for about 3 years now and there's absolutely no loss in suction power, it picks up the deepest dust and hair I'm my carpets and furnishings. The lift away function makes it easy to clean stairs and higher up areas. The main head also has lights which make it perfect for getting underneath furniture.
