This game reminds me of some of the effects used in the movie Lawn Mower Man. If you like looking at fractals and listening to trance music you will enjoy this game. The game environment gently pulsates with the music while you float through the levels at different perspectives. While floating through the environment you employ a multiple lock-on targeting system that's similar to the classic AfterBurner game. Once you release the fire button after locking on you get to see beams of light traveling to their respective geometrical targets. This game is greatly improved with no light on in the room and headphones. Don't miss this game
One of the finest games ever made. I was initially sold on Rez just based on the mysterious advertising and enticing box art. The actual gameplay attempts to merge the player's sense of sight and sound, offering a truly unique "synaesthesia" experience. In the role of a futuristic hacker, players make their way through interactive sound-scapes depicted in a retro-futuristic linear style. The music and evolving gameplay systems are awe-inspiring.
If you like trance/electronica music even a little bit, you really should give Rez a try. The gameplay is engaging, frenetic without becoming unmanageable, and the music integration still gives me goosebumps when I play.
