PROS:
- Has a decent amount of storage for all your shower products so you don’t have things all around your shower or bath as you would without any shelving whatsoever.
- Doesn’t look terrible in your shower. Doesn’t look “cheapy” like some shower tension rod shelving systems similar to this one can (but also doesn’t look like a “higher-end”
- The “rod” of can be made to fit different ceiling heights.
- Has “slots” to hold razors and can also hang different things like shower “poofs”, loofas, etc…
- The price-point is pretty reasonable.
CONS:
- The pole is kind of flimsy, it unfortunately tends to bend when holding a bunch of my shower products (I do have quite a bit of diff products I use, though — if you use just a few things — it actually might be just fine!). Unfortunately, bc I have a shower stall Vs. a tub (with a tub you can at least start up from the top corner which is probably about 2’ up from the base of an average bathtub). So because the pole is pretty skinny, & from my shower floor to the ceiling it’s about 9' — it makes this a bit wobbly. I do honestly think that if they had made the rod thicker, it’d be *much* sturdier & fine with holding the weight of all my different products..
- You can’t really put certain things like bars of soap & smaller products in the baskets/shelves bc they will end up falling through the “gaps” of wireframe that the shelves are made of.
(If you put an actual soap dish of some sort on one of the shelves, I’d think it would should solve that particular issue with it holding bars of soap, though!).
- Some people who might not be as “handy” as I am might have a bit of a hard time putting it together. They tried to make the included instructions clear — though, to me it kind of just tells you the obvious (but again, I’m a pretty handy person & can typically figure things out).
It came with a package of these silver strip things and I’m not exactly positive what they’re for being that I don’t see anything about it in the instructions
- I’d *definitely* recommend tightening the baskets/shelves with pliers so that they’re secure & don’t end up sliding down the pole. As they won’t hold more than maybe a couple pounds at most (mind you — just one of my shampoo bottles weighs more than one pound each — & Same goes for a lot of my other products!) so a couple bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc will most likely be too heavy for it to properly hold without the baskets sliding down — or even worse, the entire thing coming crashing down.
- I’ve had it up for some time now and it’s starting to rust (esp in the corners) which is exactly what I was afraid of.
As I’ve had similar products in the past (including the type that hangs over the pipe coming out of the wall that leads to your showerhead) & rusting has almost always happened with all of them I’ve had/tried throughout the years.
I hope this thorough review I wrote helps anyone considering something like this to decide if this is the right shower tension-pole shelving system for you or not! :)

My ceilings are slanted so the installation was a bit difficult, but after putting a little block, I was able to adjust it to the right height it’s held up for years at such a good price and it has not rusted which I really appreciate however, I would like to try this while living in Puerto Rico because of the humidity things are likely to rest more so I would like to test out the rest resistance in a more complex situation I do store a bunch of shampoos and conditioners as you can see and it definitely holds well I give the storage capacity 10 out of 10.
This corner caddy had plenty of storage space! The ceilings in our showers are pretty tall so this was almost too short to fit but we got it to work, just couldn’t use all of the caddy’s. In this picture, Only using 2 of the 4 it came with.
