I was not a big fan of these. Difficult to clean the food out of after. Although I loved the idea, they were just too much work and mess for me.
My daughter hated these :/ Even though everyone I knew babies enjoyed them she didn't like the concept and I think she thought it was weird especially the netting.
This teething feeder was great for my daughter to eat fruit before she was able to fully chew on them by herself but once her front teeth came in they would get stuck to the mesh so we were no longer able to use them. And it took me a while to figure out how to open the feeder to put the food inside.
I love the idea of this product, however, I only used mine a few times, and then threw it away! :/ I would put it in the dishwasher, and then would still have to try and clean it by hand, and to get all the food out, it took forever! I don't recommend these to anyone, unless you want to waste your time trying to clean it!
The idea is great and my son who has had a really hard time teething really likes it when I give him a banana or slice of apple in here.... The problem? difficult to clean... other tha that it gets a thumbs up form me
I used these with david when he was about 4 months old . The first thing i put in there to let him try was Mandarins and he LOVED it !!!! gives them relief from teething and they get to try new stuff without choking . I would keep them inside my freezer to keep them cold and ready for my baby
I had a chance to use this product with my daughter. I could take fruit and place the entire piece in the mesh and give it to her. The only major drawback was the mesh got gross after a while. I didn't want to put bleach on it because I didn't want her ingesting that. In addition the juice from the fruit would get all over so be prepared to have wipes super handy or just give them this teether when you have them in yucky clothes! But if you want them to enjoy the fruit, this product is for you!
My daughter loved sucking bananas through these things, but its nearly impossible to get all the mess out of them. And I never did find spare nets to purchase, every time one got gross I had to buy a whole new thing. Not very cost effective. But, one good way I found to keep using them for a while was by making a thick fruit smoothie [strawberry] and pouring it into the net with the cap already on then snapping the ring on and freezing it. Just took it out of the freezer for a quick treat and popped it back in the freezer when she was done [it took her a good while to make it through a whole smoothie pop!]
I was given one of these from a coworker as a gift at my baby shower. As a first time mom, I had never heard of them prior to opening the package. My son was teething and she had recommended putting frozen fruit inside of it, so we did. We started off with frozen peaches and he loved them. The soothe of the cool fruit was great, plus he was getting his first start at solid foods without me worrying that he was going to choke.
My absolute favorite baby product!! I started my daughter on fresh fruit at 6 months using this!!! She loved every minute of it! Also put ice cubes in it while teething which helped her aching gums. I recommend every mom buy this!!
