I previously owned a Galaxy S II and III. While I like the galaxy phones their is a but.... Lets do pros first. 1. it is easy to use even from small children 2. Storage is reasonable good, many games and apps can be downloaded along with videos/photos. BUT the battery life in all 3 of my previous Galaxy phones was terrible. Even with limited usage 3-5 phone calls, 10-15 texts and maybe 30 mins to and hour of playing a game (this all throughout the day) the battery life would be drained so easily. Every night the battery needed to be charged and I rarely use my phone. Other than that issue, the phone works for my needs, it is just frustrating and irritating when the phone dies often. The original battery was replaced and issue still continued.

I was soo happy to have bought this phone, FINALLY a smartphone for me yay.. untl a month after I bought t, t started turning off on me. (yes I would update it WEEKLY) Then I took it to the store only to find out that I could not exchange is because it had to be happening infront of them. (so dumb) but that I could call the manufacturer and let them know what has been happening and they will send me a knew one. So I called them, and all they did was restart my phone which erased everything on my phone. (good thing I only had a months worth of memories right!) and well here I am 4 months later still having the same problem, not only does it freeze but I had an emergency and had to call 911 and it didn't go through till the 5th time I dialed it!!! (yes I had full signal, not my providers fault) but whatever I'm going to try to call the manufacturer AGAIN. Wish me luck! OH P.S it does take good pictures, of course until your battery is low, then they are not as clear.

This was my first ever Samsung phone, a huge upgrade from my HTC Evo. I have the S5 now and although there may be some major upgrades with the new model, if I could I would go back to the SII model. The camera on the S5 drives me bonkers, my SII was so perfect for me, personally. I liked the design and had a very hard time learning to accept the button at the bottom of the newer phone. I miss my SII and I probably mention this every other day tbh.

Great phone for starting out in the amazingly awesome Samsung line of phones, just know if you begin to love it and decide to upgrade at the end of your contract or when the newest gen phone comes out, you're going to have to get used to the additional features that to me seem like overkill.

So, I've had just about every smart phone you can imagine. I've had the Iphone, many dif HTC's, LG's, you name it. My absolute FAV out of all is my Galaxy S II. I also have the samsung galaxy tablet 10.1 inch. LOVE them both tremendously. The operating system and processor is quick and handles many tasks very well. The screen is the perfect size too. Very well made and functional smart phone to say the least. Oh....and please click on the little thumbs up below my review if you thought it was helpful......the more we do this, the better our influenster scores are! Thx!

I have had my galaxy S II for a year now and I love it! I hear a lot of apple junkies knocking Android, but lets be honest: Customization! There are so many options to make it how you want it. The screen is a perfect size, the color and picture is bright and clear as can be. It is very fast. My only complaint about this phone is with the Ice Cream Sandwich update, they changed the screen shot options from home+power to the bottom volume button+power and I haven't mastered the skill to simultaneously do it so I am without screen shots ): Also, I hate how I have to constantly force close some apps. The battery life is okay. If you keep the lighting down, it can last longer. However, I LOVE my skyrocket II and am interested in the future of the galaxies!

I have started using this phone as my second side phone. I find myself texting and calling with this more often than my iPhone 4s. I won't say the interface is better than the iPhone because the iPhone is still pleasing to the eyes. I just find this phone much more easier to carry around because of its weight and good size of the screen. I usually read articles on my phone and I find the screen on my iPhone 4s to be a tad small so it strains my eyes.

I definitely prefer the texting on the iphone 4s than on the samsung because the T9 is so much better on the 4s but texting on samsung S2 is a good experience too and I don't mind texting on it when I have it with me. I am a constant texter and I didn't find the experience unpleasant.

The Samsung Galaxy S2 was my second smart phone. My first was a Samsung Galaxy Mesmerize, US Cellular's version of the Galaxy S. I really loved my S2-- for about a year. After a year, I had so much data and software invested in the phone that it couldn't handle the demands for memory and storage, even with a 16GB microSD card. I was grateful when I was able to move to an S4. I had some trouble with the S2, constantly having to pull out the battery and restart it when it locked up, that I don't have with the S4. My daughter has the S2 now, and she doesn't have that problem with it at all. But she isn't the heavy user that I was. If you are a light phone user, you would probably do fine with the S2. It is great for phone and text. But it is less great for data-heavy apps like Spotify or Candy Crush, which is what I was using it for.

This was the worst Samsung phone I ever had. The first phone last a year and than the charging port broke. it was replaced and with another phone and the screen would always freeze or jump crazily and in a few months the charging port broke as well. It was replaced again and the phone froze up and would not unfreeze. All this occurred while locked into a contract with a company that would not allow me to upgrade and blamed everything on Samsung. I got a third replacement and the same thing happened with the charging port. It froze and shut off a lot. I was finally happy when I upgraded to the S4

My other cell phone, a Motorola Triumph, broke on Monday. So I found this phone on the Virgin Mobile website and compared it against the Triumph and the IPhone 4s. It beats both phones by leaps and bounds. It's easy to use and you can create folders so you don't have a bunch of widgets everywhere. The screen resolution is awesome! it's so clear and the color is fantastic. My only issue i have is that, while the battery life is very good and lasts a good long time, charging the phone takes a long time. It could just be my phone but that's the only problem I have.

All in all, I love this phone!

I've had this phone for a little over a year and for awhile it was great. My sister and Husband both got one as well and after a few short months their phones started malfunctioning, requiring a factory restart several times. My phone lasted a bit longer but now it really messes up. It freezes, it refuses to do random functions including but not limited to, opening apps, making calls, answering calls, etc... My recommendation is to buy one of the upgraded versions that isn't so buggy. My husband broke down and got the S4 and it's marvelous. It's a wonderful company just this model isn't that great.

Thinking of looking for a phone but I have seen mixed reviews for this phone. So what are the glitches, and what are the pro's. I would like to know before I decide which phone to buy. Thanks all.
