Went to Bermuda on the Anthem of the Seas, which is huge. I hated waiting for everything (food, elevators, drinks, etc) there were so many people. It was impossible to even move in the outdoor pool. Just way too many people on this massive ship. The inside cabins were awesome though, the "window" monitors had real time video feed of the view you would have had if it was a room with a real window or balcony. The service on the ship was really good, too. We had excellent waiters for dinner and everyone is very helpful. Excursions could have been a little cheaper. Their drink package was only somewhat reasonably priced. I was sea sick for the majority of the cruise and the on ship store didn't have the patches that go behind the ear (nothing else works for me).
My first cruise was with royal Caribbean and it was fantastic. This is a family friendly cruise line with so many things to do. I would recommend any of their cruises.
I took my first cruise on the "Empress of the Sea" and I would not recommend it. I went for my birthday trip with my best friend back in September and it was my first cruise. I did not know what to expect but, even still was let down. The boat is very small and seemed to be outdated. I was told stories of extravagant shows that cruises put on and my high school show choir could have put on better shows than they did. The thing I will say is that every person who worked on the cruise ship was WONDERFUL, if it were not for them my birthday trip would have been an easy 1 star. There were not many things to do and my friend and I often found ourselves bored and underwhelmed by the whole experience. The times of serving food was limited, they had food available maybe 4 hours out of the full day. I am more than likely going to avoid Royal Caribbean and test my luck with other cruise lines. If you are someone who is between the ages of 21 - 28, I do not recommend this boat for you.
We chose Royal Caribbean for our honeymoon in June 2013. This was our second time on a RCL ship. We sailed out of New Jersey. We will definitely sail with Royal again.
Such a fun getaway! Not having to cook or clean for a week, having drinks delivered on a tray. Lots of fun shows and music, tropical destinations. Cant wait to go back
The staff aboard Royal Caribbean was more than amazing. Our housekeeper made sure everything was spotless, he even turned our towels into different animals every day!
Nice cruise line - it isn’t top of the line, but it’s consistently good. The food is mid level, like a nice chain restaurant, and the staff tries to be accommodating.
Great for cheap cruises with your friends! Always remember that you usually get what you pay for. Don’t expect extravagance but you definitely get your money’s worth!
if you want to have fun this is an interesting decision to choose, it makes you feel like you are in another world, good at food, places, and varietys of things to do
Never a bad time with royal! They out do themselves every time. With all their delicious food and their fun activities, would recommend it to everyone :) good gateway
