My husband and I have been on 8 cruises and they have been all from Royal Caribbean.  Our first was on our honeymoon.  We love the ships but have noticed a decline in the quality of food compared to our first trip in 1998.  The added restaurants to the ship has taken away the great quality of food and the choices from the main dining rooms.  This is just my opinion.  The desserts use be different every day, but not they more mostly cheese cakes and mouses and the same daily.  One of the things we loved about cruising is trying different foods and the dining room was getting predictable.  This is the way they are doing it now with less options.  I loved it the way it use to be in the 1990's.  I hope someday they think about that rather than making the ships bigger and bigger.  Royal Caribbean is still a fantastic way to go on vacation.  You do get spoiled.  Try it if you have not.

We have been on a dozen+ Royal Caribbean cruises. I've tried with friends, with my husband, with my whole family, and with my almost two year old daughter. We have had varied experiences. The newer ships are beautiful and much more spacious. Ports of call are the same as everywhere else so that doesn't set them apart too much. The food used to be exceptional! Now, unless you pay for premium dining experiences the food is school cafeteria quality which disappoints. As far as kids programs, older kids 7 and up I would say... have a great time! For my little one it is essentially babysitting. I wish there were more activities for toddlers. Over the years the dedication to excellent service has decline, but that seems prevalent in the industry which is unfortunate when you are sometimes spending upwards of 10-15k for a week.

Absolutely love these cruises they are great for family vacations. Love the places you go to and the food is very good. Lots of activities on the cruise ships and they have bingo which my dad loves and islands to visit. Great experiences

Good value. Have used Royal Caribbean for 4 nights in the Bahamas with girlfriends and a 5 night to from Barcelona to Cannes to Florence/Pisa and Rome with my significant other. Both had very kind staff, and seemed a better value than the other cruise lines. The Bahamas cruise was during the winter and could have had better entertainment- magician and night club were kind of lame. Club was empty, DJ might as well have been an iPod.. maybe also because magician went to the night club? The European cruise much better in terms of entertainment- lots of shops, ice skating, better club. We booked tours in a couple of cities. Both times liked their dining options.

I've been cruising with a Royal Caribbean since I was 10. On our last cruise we brought our kids and my parents to the Southern Caribbean. Customer Service Agents were wonderful in finding us a connecting balcony room. The kids had so much fun going between between my patent's and our room. I'm sure the guests around us also liked not having to hear the heavy doors slam. The room attendants were excellent and took great care in keeping the rooms clean. They also made sure to fold 2 towel animals each night for each of the kids. The food is always good. The restaurants are excellent. The shows are great! The kids loved the indoor ice skating shows! The kids club was so much fun our kids didn't miss us. A loyal RCCL family here!

First time cruiser! I’ve heard good and bad things about all the cruise lines, but mostly good about Royal and I’d have to add to the goodness. We loved our Royal experience, we stayed on an older ship (The Majesty of the Seas) but it was still great! From the food to the entertainment we really enjoyed everything. There’s truly something for everyone, the picky eaters, the cravings, the late night snacks. And the activity’s vary too, they had a great schedule of things to do, movie nights, craft time, lots of family activities!

I have sailed with Royal Caribbean before and very satisfied. Statement was nice and roomy. Next time will book sooner to get a statement with a balcony. The food in the Windjammer was delicious and offered a huge selection. Jaime's Italian Restaurant and Chops Steakhouse were delicious. Our server, Markho, in Jaime's Italian Restaurant was most definitely the best waiter we have ever had - anywhere. Lots to do and see in Bermuda. The Horseshoe Bay Excursion was terrific. Beautiful beach. Thought that beach chairs were included in the price of the excursion but there were not. We also did the "Bonfire On The Beach" excursion in the Royal Navy Dockyard and Snorkel Bay. We took a ferry to Hamilton and was able to enjoy some time exploring.

I will never cruise a different cruise line. Ever. The royal Caribbean fleets are flawless. We went on the OASIS OF THE SEAS, and I was floored. The food, the crowd, the employees, the music, clubs, casino, and our room 😍❤ plus everything else. The million amenities on the ship make for an amazing vacation. We almost didn't want to get off when we got to our destination ports! My husband really loved the wave rider, and zip line on board as well. I'm more of a pool lounge chair, shows and dinner style guest. I would have loved to visit the spa, but financially it wasn't doable. Royal Caribbean
