Don't cruise unless you're going to choose Royal Caribbean!! Loyalty points (crown points is what they call them) best drink packages, meals are superb, staff is always on point AND there are way less kids on this cruise line. All kinds of time to yourself or just with other adults having a great time without worry about your kids or other people's kids. They're usually with groups doing activities with a Royal Caribbean staff member so they're safe and having fun and on the other side of the ship! Glorious vacation no matter where your ports are!
4 stars for the destinations it offers you to visit and the price you can do it at. However, I'm a diamond member and I don't get many benefits or any recognition like on other cruise lines for loyalty. On my last cruise I got a free water bottle and half off a coffee which is pretty bad compared to the loyalty perks on other cruise lines. The quality of the food has also decreased significantly since I first started traveling with rci back in 2012. Overall you can't beat the price for the food, entertainment and destinations you get to visit!
I LOVE this cruise line. I have been a frequent cruiser for years! I love that it’s sophisticated enough for adults to enjoy themselves and have a good time, but you can also bring your children. They have an excellent childcare facility for kids of all different ages! The food is always amazing. I love the “night life” and the private restaurants. I always have a good time with literally everyone from housekeeping to bartenders and wait staff. I seriously would recommend this for everyone. If you’re going to take a cruise, make it Royal!
We had a lot of fun on this cruise, however, it was more for travelers without children. I traveled with some friends and I think that was more appropriate because of the activities available. Compared to another cruise line that I have enjoyed several times previously, I was critical and seen many flaws with RCCL but overall, it was a very pleasant and relaxing cruise. I do not regret cruising with RCCL and would do it again on a budget. I feel, for children, there may be more to offer on competitors gearing toward character entertainment.
Royal Caribbean is a great and affordable cruise line, they have many things to do for all ages and types of families as well as solo riders, the only thing is the ships do hold a lot of passengers and can sometimes feel crowded or as if you can enjoy certain areas of the ship. This was the first cruise that we have been on and have no other cruise to compare it to but we felt the ship had plenty of choices for dining along with a nice choice of bars and entertainment. I know i would go again and plan to some time in the near future.
First of all, you need to like cruises to go on a cruise. And you may not know that until you go on one. I'm not a cruise person it turns out. BUT I can see why so many people like these. There is endless food and drinks, there are things to do on the ship at almost all hours of the day. And they conveniently drop you at new places to visit every day or so. The only thing I recommend against is the cruise line supported shore excursions. They tend to be MUCH more expensive than booking on your own, and you never get away from the cruise crowd.
We went on our first cruise last year for our honeymoon. We did a 7 day Western Caribbean cruise that stopped at Cozumel, Mexico, Falmouth, Jamaica and Georgetown, Grand Cayman. We sailed out of Galveston, TX on the Liberty of the Seas and had an Ocean balcony room. We had some serious issues with the staff on the first day that completely ruined our trip. After the cruise we did reach out to let upper management know about the issues and our dissatisfaction. They did some things to take care of us so we are going to try it again this May.
Cruising with Royal Caribbean is THE best way to travel when you have kids! My family and I have cruised twice on the Oasis of the Seas and we absolutely love it! The kids love the Kids Club so much that they get upset when we pick them up even though it's well passed their bedtimes! My husband and I love that we have multiple date nights on board whether it's enjoying a 5 course meal, being pampered at the spa or attending a show. There is so much to do on board, you never need to get off the ship. Cruising is the ultimate experience.
I went on this cruise with my family, my parents, brother and sister and boy was this cruise everything I imagined. Our ages ranged from 21-50 and this was our 3rd cruise. The rooms are great, you really get what you pay for but honestly, there's so much to do that you spend no time in the room anyway. Food and Drink The food and service is phenominal, you can choose the time you want to eat, my family usually picks the last dinner as we don't like being rushed and enjoy taking out sweet time eating and go to one of the shows afterwards.
My husband and I went on our honey moon. It was our first cruise. It was great and we can't wait to go on another . It's affordable and there is so much entertainment . And food and things to do . The staff was friendly and informative . They offered good excursions. Downside for me was my own fault. I took Dramamine the whole time and couldn't stay awake .!8 should have done my research
