My first (and so far, only) cruising experience took place on a Royal Caribbean ship. I went for a friend's birthday, and had a complete blast! The staff was incredibly nice and helpful, and the entertainment was phenomenal. The excursions they offered were also top notch. I'd love to sail with them again sometime soon!
I have been on a total of 7 cruises since my very first cruise in 1994. Back then I would say that Royal Caribbean was the best of the best. Over the years I have seen a decline in the overall quality of Royal Caribbean, however; I would still highly recommend it to first time cruise travelers because the cost factor.
I mean...I'm in the minority, I prefer Carnival. Not to say RC isn't amazing, i just love the FunShip atmosphere. It's much more of a "parents" or "non clubber" atmosphere. Not really subdued, just....less exuberant. The shows are amazing, the ships are huge. Activities are great, it's just not really my crowd...
This was one of the best experiences I ever have the pleasure to have they were super friendly and make sure to made you feel comfortable and enjoy everything. They have too many things to do. The food is awesome and the chefs are the best. If you are in one of more of 3 days make sure to bought the reusable bottle of soda.
The last time I used this cruise line was during a huge hurricane that was going through the Caribbean. I wasn't until the day of boarding that they canceled our cruise!
i love royal caribbean. its the only cruise line that i have used. I have been cruising with them for 10 years now, I try to go at least once a year. I love how you are so well taken care of by the staff, they think of everything you could need and have it. Everyone is so nice and happy to answer your questions and love to entertain you. I always tell everyone that "I'm loyal to royal" they have great shows, games and of course food!
I've only been on 1 cruise and that was over 10 years ago. We traveled on Royal Caribbean Majesty of the Seas to Nassau, Coco Cay and Key West and I had no complaints. It was relaxing, the people on board, both staff and other travelers were friendly. If I ever take another cruise it will be with Royal Caribbean.
Royal Caribbean is the best cruise line I've gone on. We tend to go with carnival more just because it is cheaper but if you can afford it, Royal Caribbean is much higher quality. The food is a completely different level as well as the entertainment and facilities. There also seem to be less kids which is a plus.
We cruised Royal Caribbean because it's one of the best names in the cruise ship business. Besides world-class entertainment, the ship also offers an overwhelming variety of activities, so you will never be bored. Would love to go and sail again on Royal Caribbean.
Royal Caribbean has the novelty of the world's largest ships, and the newer ships in general are not as trashy as Carnival, but the very tacky nickel and dimming on ridiculous things like drinks is very unfortunate. Also, including a dozen restaurants that cost extra is beyond poor form. Royal Caribbean, just charge an up-front price and get on with it.
