First time cruiser! I’ve heard good and bad things about all the cruise lines, but mostly good about Royal and I’d have to add to the goodness. We loved our Royal experience, we stayed on an older ship (The Majesty of the Seas) but it was still great! From the food to the entertainment we really enjoyed everything. There’s truly something for everyone, the picky eaters, the cravings, the late night snacks. And the activity’s vary too, they had a great schedule of things to do, movie nights, craft time, lots of family activities!
We've sailed on RCL for several cruises now, twice with a chartered group of 800-1000 people, and once on our own, with an 8 month old. We love the Freedom and Independence of the Seas, both ships are gorgeous, clean, and offer tons of interesting events and activities. The food is always wonderful, and if you enjoy being surprised at dinner, they often have a "secret" menu that is available. Typically it's the native cuisine of the head chefs, which has been Indian food the last couple of times we've gone. It's so good. They offer childcare services (if your kid is old enough), and have a ton of excursions to pick from. We love RCL and plan on taking another cruise with them again very soon.
We have cruised with Royal Caribbean twice. The first cruise I give a 4.0, the 5. The staff are absolutely wonderful. We had a suite the second time and were treated so well. Our only problem is our airline lost every single piece of luggage. The offered a tux to my husband for free (nothing for me). Since we had limited clothing we had to have our laundry done, they did a great job. We checked on our luggage often, they tried their best to get it to us, but only managed to get our hanging bag with our formals. Even though we were sidetracked with phone calls, emails, travelers insurance we had a wonderful trip and would do it again.
I've taken quite a few cruises and I'll be the first to tell you that this is by FAR the best cruise line I've ever had the pleasure of boarding. You don't get nickel and dime every time you turn around and the room service was impeccable! Beautiful, up-to-date ship and lovely people everywhere you look. Can't wait to go again!!!!
Although this was quite some time ago, I have been dying to get back on a Royal Caribbean cruise. The staff was amazing, the food was even better, but they honestly just generally knew how to treat you to make you feel luxurious, no matter who you were. I still remember my waiter's name, and he was really good about making dinner something to always look forward to. At the time I was underage, but If I get the chance go again, I'd love to check out all of the adult amenities!
I've now been on 3 cruises and counting (2 Caribbean and 1 Alaskan). The staff are always so friendly and they work extremely hard. The food is nothing short of delicious. You will never be bored on their cruises for their daily itineraries are always chalk-full of things to do. On days when you are in port, they assist with booking excursions (which should always be done well in advance to ensure you get to do what you want, they do sell out). They are forever improving their fleet and will always be the line I choose to cruise with.
Royal Caribbean cruises are very adult-friendly, not so much kid-friendly. There aren't many children activities, but there is an abundance of adult fun and clean entertainment! The staterooms are a bit small, but the staff is very accommodating and caters to your every need! I cruised with them to Nassau, The Bahamas and a private Royal Caribbean island! The private island is definitely worth the cruise!
My husband proposed to me on our first Royal Caribbean cruise. It was a fantastic cruise with so many available upgrades. We purchased a beverage package and ate at all the premium restaurants. We saw all the shows and took shore excursions. The ship we went on was the largest cruise ship in the world at the time. We loved it and had a fantastic time. Highly recommended. The only thing we didn't like was they add an ingredient to their water that causes you to retain water in your ankles. Try to avoid ice in beverages, frozen beverages, and drinking any water other than bottled.
A few years ago I went on a cruise with Royal Caribbean. The cruise went to the Bahamas & Key West. I can't say too many good things about Royal Caribbean, the food is exceptional and the service is even better! If you are thinking of taking a cruise I highly recommend Royal Caribbean, you won't be disappointed!
Royal Caribbean is the best cruise line hands down. They have amazing customer service, the clientele they receive are a majority a magnificent group of respectable people, the on board entertainment is talented and impressive, the ship is always clean and up to quality standards, and the FOOD. The food is AMAZING. They have quality ingredients every time, they taste great, and they tend to any food allergy or sensitivity you may have. The ships are so elaborate and exciting, there's always an adventure to be had. Aside from the ship itself, the port towns they include are always great destinations.
