We haven't had any problems with this Roku. We enjoy being able to stream different channels and use it with our playstation vue subscription. I do with there were more options with the PS Vue, and it streamed a little clearer, but overall we are still happy with it for the price.
The price for this guy is unbelievable! Being able to buy a cheap television (instead of a smart TV) and purchase this for under $50 is great!! It's easy to use and fast to set it! You get all the benefits of one of those fancy TV'S at the right price!
We have this ROKU product in every room now. We completely got rid of cable and access all entertainment through it. We use it for our HULU, Netflix, HBO now and several other accounts. I love it for streaming YouTube on the television. Lately YouTube has become our main resource for news and other fun entertainment. We also have our Xbox360 and Xbox1 running through it as well. For the price point and ease of use it is an excellent product and I highly recommend it.
This is a great affordable way to upgrade your non-smart TV to stream all your favorite subscriptions! My family is one of the many that has "cut cable" and has Netflix, Sling, Hulu, etc. subscriptions instead. Using this Roku USB allowed me to turn the older flatscreen TV in my bedroom into one I can stream on! I'd give it 5 stars if it were faster at loading. When you turn on your TV, it does take about 3 minutes (maybe 5 max?) to start up Roku, and you get the little Roku loading song/screen. Then it finally gets you to the menu of apps, and you have to wait for the app to load. However, the USB stick is cheaper than the wall plug one, so I'm willing to be patient with longer loading times rather than pay more money. The Rokus on our living room TV's plug into the wall and load pretty much instantly. It's up to you if you're willing to pay more just for that. Other than the loading time, I have zero complaints about my Roku USB!
Q & A
How does this product work and how much does the price run on this
Is this fast as the fire stick? I am interested in getting a new Roku stick. But wanted to know if this is fast as the Amazon Fire stick or slower speeds, is it sluggish ?
Can this product be used with multiple televisions and can it be used with apple tv?
Does the Roku Stick allow you to login to hotel wifi? Many hotels have a web login--and I've always run into trouble with my Roku Box logging in. Does the stick have a different authentication method?
