I've used Rit for a few different dying projects (including a tye dying project) and it is my favorite dye. It is easy to find in stores, affordable, and easy to use. And I can usually always find a wide variety of colors.

I've used a ton of RIT dyes and honestly, they are great for small amounts of cotton but not much else. It takes so much due for so little clothing, it's difficult to dissolve and the colors vary between batches. If you are looking for that marbled look, though, I recommend this because it dyes unevenly but consistently uneven, so the effect looks purposeful.

RIT is the best dye I've used for craft projects, tie-dying, and dying cloths. I will not buy any other brand! It's easy to use and has good results every time.

I just used this dye on a dress to revive it. It was fading on parts of the dress and after the dye it took on a gorgeous colour. I received lots of compliments on the dress. Am going to try and use the red colour next on a tshirt.
