I used the powder black with powder pearl gray in an attempt to do a scrunch dye technique on a shirt. Well, turns out neither dissolves well in not water compared to other RIT powders. In addition, the black powder has a slight brown undertone but pearl gray has more of a blue undertone. I didn't like the initial results so I added more and was not super impressed. I also had flecks of dye on the shirt. I tried again with liquid RIT black and it was much more solid black.
My husband and I took up a new hobby of Tye Dye during the Covid lockdown. Anything in the house that was white is no longer white :). @Rit powder dye is affordable and easy to use. It was hard to find at the time when Covid was in full force. I guess alot of people had the same idea. I highly recommend the art of Tye Dye and Rit Powder dye.
