Ring Smart Lighting Solar...

I purchased these for my front walkway. While they were effective, I was changing the batteries often due to the traffic on my street so I decided to move them to the side of my house. This worked out great since we didn’t have any lightening in that area. This helps when my dogs are walking around or when we need to take out the trash after dark. I would highly recommend them. Love the sleek style as well which is what originally drew me to these lights. That, and we use other Ring products (Ring doorbell and cameras).
I recently bought this pathlights. The reason I only gave it 4 stars because the light will on if there’s sunlight to charge them, so if not, then you’ve to charge them using the usb cable. Few days ago, I was checking my ring app and I found out the pathlights were off but the bridge connector etc are doing fine. So today I took them in and charged them and yes they’re back on. I live in Tahoe area where’s not much sun on the winter and the lights also buried in the snow so it’s not too convenient to have them charge inside every time no solar to recharge the batteries. The size of the light are huge but they’re not heavy at all. The stakes are so sturdy.
These are great and work well. They look nice outside. My only complaint is they take D batteries and do not seem to last very long.
The lights are great for lighting up pathways. Definitely bright enough to see clearly. I have four lining a path and when one gets tripped they all go on - which I love. What I don’t love is that a leaf blowing will set them all off. I tried to fix the sensitivity but now I just turn off the alerts. Note: requires the ring bridge device to link the lights together so they work right.
Hubby replaced our usual driveway lights with a couple of these. So far so good, there are no complaints here. The brightness level is good but hubby is the one who set it up so I am not sure if that is changeable.
