- "This is alright and it does what it says as it's good for oily skin and as other people said it's good at matching skin tones... but I don't like the texture and it's too 'matte' for me." in 168 reviews
- "This is the first full coverage foundation that I have used that doesn't feel heavy to get everything covered and blended." in 98 reviews
- "The only down side is that their are not enough color options the darkest color was sand when I bought this and that is no where near my skin tone." in 91 reviews
- "i loved this foundation it gave me some awesome full coverage and it also felt so light on my face , also a little goes a long way with this product !" in 70 reviews
- "Amazing coverage and does stay on a lot, it lasts quite a long time however there aren't a good range of tones and it leaves your skin feeling quite dry, if you have normal or oily skin then this is a good foundation, do not use if you have dry skin or if you like natural looking foundations, this one is very obvious and thick coated." in 68 reviews
I'm just not a foundation person to begin. I prefer tinted moisturizers. I have quite a few freckles and it just works better for my skin tone. This stuff does live up to what it claims though. You do get a nice matte finish. If you wear foundation regularly have need shine control or like the matte finish, I'd give it a go. I received this complimentary from Influenster to test.
A great full coverage foundation. A little goes a long way. I love it but i add a bit of moisturizer to it to make it less thick and more natural looking.
This stuff is pretty good but I will say that it can make my face seem a little dry sometimes. Which is weird because I have fairly oily skin to begin with and I usually am on the lookout for mattifying makeup products. I do like this foundation when I have major break outs because I usually wear it and not have to worry about adding concealer on top of it. I also like how I don't have to wear a powder with it either!
I loved the coverage this provides and the way it makes my skin look. I just wish it came in my skin tone. I had trouble finding one.
I got this product in my voxbox and it is one of my favorites. It lasts all day and looks natural. Will definitely buy again!
I just recently purchased this for the first time and I have been using it for the last 2 weeks. I absolutely love it. it is not "too much" but it does give you full coverage. it wears really good through the day as well.
I received Rimmel London’s Stay Matte Foundation in Light Ivory for free in an Influenster Vox Box. The foundation was a perfect fit for my oily, acne prone skin. The foundation comes out thick and goes on smooth. It does not dry out your skin, like some matte foundations do. This foundation leaves your skin feeling very soft and looking natural
Very thick and cakey looking. Not a good foundation at all. I like full coverage but this looks horrible on your skin.
I just bought this at Duane Reade for only about $5 and was SO EXCITED because MakeupByAlli on YouTube swears by it. I bought the wrong shade but was able to exchange it without issues - which says more about Duane Reade than the product but I just thought y'all should know this. Anyways. I've used it twice so far and loved it. My skin gets super oily - especially now that it's summer. My face stayed matte without looking like my skin was just boring and flat. My skin actually looked brighter and more healthy which is something I rarely say because I don't usually use foundation. With that being said, for those who don't wear foundation often - this does give off a cakey look in certain places - for me, between my eyebrows. I still love it though. It is a little hard to find the correct shade for your skin color because the bottle color is just a bit darker than the actual color product but it's still an affordable product if the drugstore doesn't let you return/exchange it. Even then - the Stay Matte Primer is equally as amazing. I didn't feel the need to set this product all over my face, just under my eyes. Overall - this product is amazing.
I received this in my Uni voxbox for 2014. Unfortunately, I did not have the right shade for my skin tone, it matches my mom's skin tone better, so she will be using it I feel like it is tricky for me to find the right foundation color for my skin. I did try it out on my hand though, and it blended nicely. It does say it is a matte foundation, yet it looked a little shiny to me? Hmm...
