I have combination skin, but it's more oily in the summer than in the winter. I also work at a doctor's office where I'm interacting with patients all day long. Needless to say, I don't want to look oily! A little bit of natural glow is okay, but I'm not trying to look like a grease ball. One of my friends suggested that I try this pressed powder after I told her that I'm not a fan of loose powder. For the price, I figured why not?

I'm quite impressed! I apply it with a large face brush, concentrating on my T-zone. For the price, I'm not surprised that it doesn't stay longer than it does, but I really can't complain. It's a great size to keep in my purse if I need a quick touch-up, and it doesn't make a mess like loose powder does. I also like that it comes in a transparent shade because I don't like my makeup to be too cakey. Just the perfect balance!

This is SUCH a good budget-friendly mattifying pressed powder! It’s one of the first I bought when I was getting into makeup in middle/high school and I just turned 30 and I’ve been a fan ever since! This thing has been around for awhile and I still hear people rave about it and beauty influencers recommend it bc it’s truly wonderful! It works, it’s cheap, it’s easy to find... you really can’t go wrong. The only thing I DESPISE about it and why I took off a star is bc I HATE THE PACKAGING!! Seriously, it’s the only negative thing anyone has to say about it and Rimmel still hasn’t done a thing to fix it in all the years its been in production! Seriously Rimmel, get it together! It’s the main reason why I haven’t purchased it in awhile... I simply can’t keep it in my purse! All it has is a loose-fitting lid that doesn’t close securely and it opens up constantly and the powder gets everywhere and/or breaks and destroys your purse and its such a pain in the butt! Obviously a mattifying powder is something most people want to carry around for touch-ups, so for the life of me I cannot understand why Rimmel won’t just give us a compact that snaps shut securely! It’s not a lot to ask! I mean, a mirror would be nice too but I’m not picky! lol Just something that won’t open up and allow the product to get everywhere and break would get me buying this stuff again in a heartbeat! But if you are someone who doesn’t care about this issue or just needs a great mattifying/setting powder that won’t break the bank, I would totally recommend this formula!

I bought this a while ago. Like... a WHILE ago lol I had only used it a handful of times. It always looked to cakey on me. I stopped using it obviously. Fast forward to about a week ago. I ran out of my usual setting powder so I figured I’ve give this a shot again. I’m glad I did! Now that I know a little more about what I’m doing, this went on so well!! I used a puff to pat it INto my skin not just ON. This made a huge difference. I didn’t look powdery and cakey. It set into my makeup and kept me shine free for quite some time. It didn’t alter the color of my foundation at all. I will continue using this for sure. I’m no longer in a big hurry to go buy another higher end powder.

I’m not going to lie this product disappointed me a ton. This powder is supposed to transparent but it gives off such a bad white cast on people of deeper complexion. If a product is translucent or transparent in my opinion it’s supposed to be universal and this isn’t. It makes the skin matte but it doesn’t really set my creases well and my makeup creases very fast throughout the day with it on. Also I have dry skin and really crusty under eyes and because this powder is so matte my under eyes look even worse than before. I would say this powder is only good for oily skin and people with lighter complexions but for most other people this product is a flop.Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder

I originally got this pressed powder to get rid of shine and smooth out the foundation on my face but it would make my skin look too cakey. It would cake the second I put it on my skin. I eventually used it for my eyelids and under my eyes to smooth out my concealer and foundation creases. It works a lot better for that than it does on the rest of my face, but it still doesn't go on too smoothly. I do love Rimmel, but I really don't like this powder. If you have dry skin or scabs/acne I recommend staying away from most pressed mattifying powders but this one especially makes all of my dry skin stand out.

Rimmel has some really great makeup.  I tried this powder from a Youtube beauty guru recommendation and was not disappointed.  The powder works great on my oily skin, and kept my skin matte most of the day.  It is a true translucent shade; it doesn't alter the shade of my foundation or look too pink or yellow.  The reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because it doesn't come with a brush or puff.  I like to carry this in my purse, and feel like my brush gets dirty.  I wish it had an applicator included.  Other than that, it's a really great powder for oily skin.

Picked this powder up without going through any reviews because of it’s name, stay matte! I have combo/ oily skin and wanted smth that will keep me matte and am able to touch up during the day for my oily areas. This powder did keep me matte but when reapplying it does get a bit cakey. Nonetheless this powder is worth the price and lives up to its name. Gave it 4 stars because the packaging isn’t the greatest, the lid doesn’t close completely and if I turned the product upside down the lid would jus fall off. Not sure if it’s all the powder with the poor packaging or just the one I picked up.

This was my first pressed power Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder. Also one of my first make up when I started to wear make and I love it I stay matte four about 5 hrs until I do have to start to clot my face again. But I’m definitely going to buy a new one only because I’ve had this for years already. I would definitely recommend this product to others. It’s great for first time users of make up

I love this pressed powder! I use it after applying my foundation and concealer and it takes away all my dark circles in seconds! I apply this powder with a beauty blender and pat it into my skin. It erases my pores and prevents my makeup from creasing. I would recommend this product and would definitely buy it again!

This powder is actually super good! I enjoyed the matte finish it gave me & it kept my makeup in place without looking cakey. I purchased the powder in the shade translucent so there wasn’t much coverage but I wasn’t looking for that anyways. I did find however that the powder did leave like a white cast on my face which was something I didn’t really enjoy but it was an easy fix by just spraying my face with a setting spray. I would definitely recommend this powder especially for the price!

So I watch YouTube videos about makeup and a lot of gurus talk about this and I was wondering if it's actually as good as people say.
