In true J.J. Abrams style not much is given away at once and truthfully, it had a very LOST feel in that the episodes so fat seem to focus more on character development more so than letting us in on what actually happened. As a viewer, I think they need to give a little more away this time. We all waited LOST out and it just didn't feel worth it, and if the writers/producers keep holding out I don't see this show getting renewed for a second season.
I'm in interested in Charlie, I want her to reunite her family but I find myself caring more about the supporting characters. I'll probably like this show more if they actually provide us with a little more insight on the past and move the story along a slightly accelerated pace, it's just moving so slowly for this kind of story.
There was a lot of buzz for this show, it was well advertised, I'm ready to see it live up to the expectations the marketing team set.
However, the acting, especially the main character Charlie, is horrendous. And there are many holes in the writers logic, which I'd have to admit is quite hilarious when talking to others about it. However with all it's faults, I'd have to admit the only reason why I still watch this is because I love the plot line. I'm hoping that the series really turns around and the writers take a chill pill and write things that could actually happen.
The main character, Charlie, is kind of annoying at first and has seemed to be the main reason most people I know get turned off the show. She is whiny, cocky and thinks she knows everything. As the show goes on you watch her grow up. She gets a grim view of what the world really has come to. In the second season you can see the effects of this with her new attitude.
