This is a very nice gentle cleanser, Ren is a great company, and they make some great cruelty, free, and gentle products. That being said, though this tends to have a bit of a heavy scent for my liking. When it comes to cleansing it does do a decent job however, keep in mind I also use a pre-cleansing bomb, and then I use a face washing cloth at the same time. That being said, it’s still does cleanse nicely with a very, very light Foam that you get after working it in. I do like it and I will continue to use it. However, if scent is bothersome to you then you may want to pass on this one because you can definitely smell the rose.

I bought this because the reviews were great but I’m beyond disappointed. I wanted to give this ample time to see if I’d wind up seeing what others see with use - but no. It smells horrid to me. It takes everything in me to get past the disgusting scent but it does fade rather quick. It’s okay for a first step in a double cleanser at night or a quick morning face wash to wash off a night routine. It’s definitely gentle but it doesn’t seem to help clear clogged pores or with any skin concerns really. I know not all cleansers help with skin concerns but I’m used to ones that pack a double punch; not one I need to use twice to get a basic result.
