Before prohibition, orange bitters were very popular for cocktails like the Martinez, Pegu Club Cocktail as well as the quintessential Martini. After prohibition, there weren't many bitters makers left. To the point where orange bitters were all forgotten as an ingredient to the Martini. With the new cocktail renaissance, bitters are back in. What Gary Regan created here is a perfect blend to rival all the other orange bitters out there. I consider this orange bitter to be a necessary ingredient in any home bar right along side the classic Angostura Bitters.
